I agree. I think he did really make us believe after losing hope. That is something great, but you cannot just lose like that. It is not acceptable and this is football.

Liverpool played extremely well today but that is not important because they lost 3-0. There was no excuse for him to lose to Roma after winning comfortably, that is, I think, harsh but this is the way it is. You have got to go all the way until the end.

Literarily one game can determine your entire season, just one.

Well it certinly was a shit-show Vs roma and unworthy of barca, but I dont think its fair to rate his contribution all-togehter like average because shit felt apart in one game. We did look pathetic to rest of europe so I get why fans will remwmber,i just dont think its fair. I kinda felt sorry for him tbh, because The players didnt trust him and especially pique went directly against his orders by making signs to players to not defend, arguing with ev and that created confussion.

Anyway, i really think we will win treble this years because valverde has gained The trust of our squad and leaders - and thats what sets this season apart from last season

Watched the replay right now. And it's not as bad as people make out. Not even close.

Well done!

It was only from second half till 65 minutes that we looked passive, and I dont think it was because we wanted to defend the lead, but because lfc actually played really good and we were comfortable leading 1-0 and waiting for the rright moments to find good rythm and exploiting their errors. And thats what makes this team great. If we would have charged blindly in lfc best period 45-65 min, we could have ended up losning the game. This team is the definition og calmness and routine.

In other words, ev plays to our strwnghts and isnt consumed by fanatic believes. Also why basically every player Always looks good when they play and why a lot of players ade playing their best football in their careers.

Yes, I posted something similar somewhere else. They way this Barcelona approaches gameflow and phases is different. We let opponents play their game have the ball, then we possess ball and pass it around, then we shift into a more attacking mode and Barca will switch between these a couple of times during the game. I have read so many times this season that an opponent supposedly played better or deserved the win had chances only to lose without scoring a single goal.

We conserve energy and keep disrupting the rhythm of the opponent.

Valverde is a calculated bastard.

I used to defend LE in his last season. Blaming 6-8 players but him. In football, if you have more than 3 players not playing well it is because of the manager, not the players.

I believe Valverde will win the CL and when he does that he is going to be one of the best managers in our history. Let us just wait a little bit, a few games left.

Best, no.
Succesful, maybe.
Football is not only about scoreline.
If you only go by that, your watching the wrong sport.

Football is not only about scoreline...true.

But if I ask you would you rather win a treble with shitty play or play beautifully but be left empty handed(or lets say just winning la liga), which one would you pick?

Don’t even have to wait for your answer as it is obvious which one.

Why not both though? Pep's era proved it, we saw that it's possible, so why settle for anything less? By doing it you're actually being a bad fan.

It's like when people kept claiming those days are gone and that it's not possible to play beautifully and win anymore, and then Ajax proved otherwise this season, and on a much larger scale actually, considering their club size and budget. They will probably have the same chance for a historic treble, but by playing the most beautiful football by any club since our Pep era, and to top it all off, even with a team more than 10 times cheaper than ours, which would make their treble that much more special than ours this season, it would go down on par with our two trebles and sextuple under Pep.

It’s kind of weird how people use Ajax as an example of how things should be done, but then forget the simple fact it literally took them decades to finally build a team that plays that well. Having a team like that also involves a lot of luck. Finding quality players, having a good balance of personalities and having the players have good chemistry.

Having a team that gets good results and plays beautifully is a process that takes a few seasons. We had some shitty transfers last couple of seasons and we are still recovering from that. Next season at least I would like the midfield be heavily improved with the inclusion of Frenkie and development of Arthur and Alena. That might be what I will judge Valverde on next season.

Do you like pep performances in CL since he left barca ( i mean, what is there not to like, joga bonito and trashing teams like schalke, shaktar, then getting owned by top guns, real, barca, atletico, monaco and tottenham, with his 500m squad)? I ask you that because its not realistic to repeat such generation and playing such football isnt really best formula for CL. You use ajax for example, they also got lucky with generation and coach pick, thats rare, just look how they were doing all those years before this season, while you cant expect this from ajax every season, they dont have enough money, you also cant use zhem for some kind of example how barca should do every season, that said, im not happy with valverde, but tjis squad he has, isnt so great either, its overrated.
