You're welcome
If I were him, I'd consider that but he should really move on next season, for his own legacy good. So that's a moot point, although sounds good.
legacy smegacy. No one will care in the future if he stayed on for season more if this one turns out successful

Its the +1 he has in his contract if he plays 55-60% this season. They only do it now to make it more "official", and they will do the same with Inigo in some days/weeks. It will be interesting to know if these new contracts has another +1 until 2027.

The rumour here in Spain is that we are making all this extensions because the club thinks La Liga will change the rules once again and we will be out of 1:1 in the summer.

This. I have read the narrative that the rule change will put us out of 1:1.

In reality we are barely in 1:1 and our renewals will take us out of 1:1 proximity.

It just ain't gonna happen until we are back in Camp Nou for a few seasons. And by that time cholesteral has got Laporta and Victor Font is bringing back Sergio Busquets for the midfield.

Honestly, that comes as a relief. The transfer market is pathetic right now. Every player we get linked to gives me nightmares about that transfer becoming a reality.

Whether it's Leao or Luis Diaz or Nico. Or even just recently with the 6m Rashford loan. They seem intent on making a horrific transfer to spoil all the good work.

There are a few astute moves that could be made. Buy Murillo and phase out Inigo / Eric. Buy Jose Ederson and sell Frenkie and possibly Gavi. Phase out Lewa and get Gyok. Throw a big contract at the door of Magic Mike Maignan. But I don't trust them to make the right moves in the slightest.

We have excelled exceptionally whilst penny pinching. Another year of austerity will be good for us.

Why is him staying one more year breaking news, he was always going to stay one more year.

His salary should have always been broken down over 4 years and not 3, like I was saying at he time.

The only issue is who will be sign to give him some relief, for getting all this isak and Gyok noise.

One we can't sign, one we shouldn't for a penny more than 60m Euros

What the club needs to do is grow some balls and cut the sentimental shit with

De jong
Fati ( love you kid)
And at least two of
Garcia

Martinez extending him is a waste of time, as solid as he's been this season, when everyone was whining about 9m salary I was with it, but 2 seasons is enough.

Christensen it's been two seasons now he's having serious injury issues.

Those moves would free up a lot of cash to make a few signings to improve the overall squad and in 2026, we go loco for isak.

But they'll probably keep all 4 because no one ever seems to want to leave this club, pisses me off ffs.

Fake news.. the argument at time was not about his salary but his contract length and his contract length as stated at time was three years with one year additional year. Meaning his amortized cost was divided by 3 until this renewal.

The argument was over amortized cost of those years not salary. Separate argument.

Same folk saying 'the plan has always been to sell him after 2 or 3 years' now claiming 'he was always going to stay'.

Very unlikely Barca sign another CF this summer if Lewa stays.

If likes of FDJ goes the club wont be relying on Casado and back from injury Bernal. They will try for a DM with that money.

Lewandowski for another season is the right move.

He doesn't want to move anywhere and has a right to extend. We are not getting out of that one.

Just look for your 4th attacker and that guy who can play RW or LW and ST.

That guy is probably Rafael Leao.

We really should have gone after thuram.

A player like that is what we need until isak long legs is signed.

Basically a much better more reliable Torres.

Absolutely true. FdY does not bring anything, he plays only lateral and easy passes and get a lot of salary for that shit, it is enough we have Casado and Gavi to replace him. At least we could get some money on him. Quite same staff with Eric Garcia, Ferran Torres, Fati, Lewanflopski, Schezny, etc. But, it is true that NOBODY will want to leave for the simple reason that Barca pays them salary what they will not get in other place and, for most of them there will not be any interest from other clubs to buy them. So, this dead wood will stick with us. One of the worst management in all 5 big leagues.
