I’ll try to look at the positive side, Carlo Ancelotti saved his job today due to Llorente and Alvarez. So at least we can enjoy a few more years of El Clasico fun and some domination due to Real Madrid rotting within. Despite their qualification, they are progressively getting worse. You could say that 2021-22 team was way better than 2023-24 despite what the results tell you.

I'm thinking a 1-3 or 2-3. Maybe Arsenal can prepare for it and put in a massive shift considering EPL title fight is done and dusted. But... defending as good as Atletico did vs Madrid is a rarity that is not gonna happen again. No team is capable of it.

So... either Arsenal and PSG is gonna have to score at least 4 goals in 2 games to go through I think.

Atletico were not nearly as good defensively as you make out.

We are leading the league, doing extremely well in the CL and that's all I need. I don't give a shit about Madrid, they aren't winning it this year no matter what. Luck and robbery helps a lot, but you can't live on it. There NEEDS to be a glimpse of good football and some team chemistry. There was in 22 and 24. The fuck is there now? They are playing like complete morons and it's the important part of the season when they are supposed to turn up.

Arsenal also can easily knock them out, no doubt. Madrid will need a lot of luck once again. Against PSG I think no luck will help, same against us in an eventual final.

Well, that was my opinion.
My point is that you won't beat Real Madrid by playing useless possession football, it's either you demolish them like City did 2 years ago, or you can just forget about it.

Don't know what you mean by 'useless possession football', but that's not Arsenal

Arsenal and Arteta are maybe the best 'anti-transition' team in Europe, so the best equiped to stop Madrid's best trait, which is transitions. They are also super good at defending.

They are the worst match for Madrid. A team like PSG that has the ball 70% and leaves gaps at the back suits Madrid much more.

Arsenal will demolish them football-wise. Mark this.
If Madrid voodoo or fluke it, like they have done 100 times already in CL, is another story

Yeah, some teams bleed for results and they get free goals from VAR. I think it matters.
The rules are very clear, the video is clear. Now we invent rules for Franco Madrid. If the ball is not moved, there is nothing to call.

Let's hope I remind you when the tie is over, my bet is Madrid will dominate them in pretty much every area.
See ya then, I guess.

Combined xG for Madrid vs Atletico is about 1.8 xG in 2 games + 30 mins of ET. They defended amazing. Don't think anyone gets close to beating those defensive metrics vs Madrid from the teams left in the competition.

So, the chance is for Arsenal (slim), or PSG (fair chance) to outscore them.

Dude, when Atleti has the same combined xG or less, this is not some achievement.

Parking 10 players in the box, and having no plan how to make them score is not some masterclass.
Rather a disastercalss

You understand that?
