We were the first big club after him.
I didn't like what I saw from him tbh, but he was a decent bargain deal.

I think Toni is in the same level of potential (or slightly higher) and a similar player, but Cordero has the advantage of being right footed.

That said, not a huge talent but an opportunity as you said. If we were in better finances then we should have spent 3m for him last Summer. But from the clubs perspective, they must have preferred that going on Diarra.

Don't really buy the "he'll get more playing time at Newcastle" reasoning. Could be a pretty important part of squad rotation here had he joined. Well, it is what it is. I rate him and think he'll prove doubters wrong.

One interesting name is Borja Sainz. 17 goals in the Championship for a midtable Norwich side playing mostly as a LW. Contract expiring in 2026 and with his team not getting promoted he'll probably be available for around 20m though I expect many PL teams will show interest and at 24 he'll probably prefer going somewhere to be a starter.

Anyway we are broken, we won't sign anyone.

When did it stop us?

Mercato 2025 Barca playbook:

Jonathan Tah
Alex Valle
Joan Garcia
Ratiu

You are decreasing probable prices of most player by an average of 15M. Hujsen for example has 60M Euro release clause that his club won't accept anything below it, City were already negotiating for Cambiaso for 45M+ iirc. Lookman will be fairly cheap but won't be below 40M.

The club won't go for Joan Garcia either, and honestly I don't blame them, his numbers aren't that elite IMO and this is really his best season. And tbh, the best 2 GK signings we had since Zubi (in terms of level) are arguable Tek and Bravo who were both in their 30's. I really think it is better to get more experienced GK.

Valle is another name that is Barca popular, but it doesn't seem like the club rate him that much. I think either Martin or new signing will come.

What is the point of Tah if Araujo and Eric are staying?

You are putting RB way too low in the list. This seems like a one consisten rumour, RB. Ratiu, Pubill, Hilali,, Mingueza, Vanderson & Wesley are all right backs that were linked to the club.

Flick doesn't rate Fort there, and didn't bother to try Araujo or Casado there. This is one position I feel is the top priority.

Honestly, if we just get Mingueza and Lookman/Nico I would be really happy with our transfer window, assuming we don't sell someone who is essential for the team.

I didn’t want Nico, but we definitely need a left winger. If he’s not coming or we’re not interested, we should seriously look at Rafael Leão. It’s clear he needs better quality around him. AC Milan play like dogshit, and it’s holding him back.

We could negotiate a lower price, He’s playing more centrally now—CAM or CF—but he hasn’t lost his pace. He can still burn defenders. Just look back to when AC beat Madrid right after playing Liverpool he showed up big. That’s what he does in big moments. Now imagine him with world-class players and Flick around him every week it would elevate his game massively.

Not really into Lookman, I do like Moise Kean.

Aside from them, I really like Assane Diao much cheaper going good and I also like this kid Franco Mastantuono not sure how much he would cost but easily would fit in here.

Also, we missed a good one not going for Kroupi Jr—he’s thriving now. Bournemouth picked him up for what, €12–14 million? Same as Huijsen, another one we let slip despite obvious potential—same with Esteavo & Doué.

This club keeps looking the other way when it comes to top youth talent. Now these kids will probably explode in that overhyped league.

In house - I like Diarra and Pradas both Right Wingers but can rotate could can easily play with the first team maybe a little bit more time but they have shown enough quality. Toni might be more an AM than Right Winger. Could explain the sudden impact on Guille. Which is annoying. I don't like Virgil. Juan Hernandez is not too bad bit small i don't know.

As for the defence, I’m really liking Landry Farre and Xavi Espart they look like solid future defenders for the club, especially alongside Cuenca and Jofre in U19s

I don’t think we need any signings right now, but there have been rumours around Aznou and Grimaldo, while names like Kerkez, Vanderson, and Dodô have also popped up. I haven’t seen enough of them or focused on their game to say who’d be the better fit.

This tah guy not for me.

1. I am going with the numbers that Transfermarket is giving me. It's just a suggestion of players' prices, not their actual prices. Cambiaso is 40m there. Only Tah and Valle are accurate. Lol.

2. I believe we are not going for a GK this summer. This is my choice of the available ones, cheap, and if he performs, he can be our starter. He is having a good season, maybe he can continue it. Its no harm in trying someone who is cheap in a position we lack.

3. Valle should be in Como for another year, imo. But we are desperate, and the guy is consistently being played in Como since his transfer. Maybe he has learned quite a few things, and Flick might be in favour of keeping him as a backup. Win win for us if that's the case.

4. Last line, I have mentioned the players we need to sell. I agree we need to sell Christensen and or Araujo both for Tah to join. Ideally would want Araujo so we can make some money.

5. Ya. A versatile player is needed as a fullback to fill both roles. I could only come up with Valle or Cambiaso. Or else, we can go for Ratiu and another LB.

6. I want Lookman more than Nico, as he can fill 2 spots. Read somewhere on Twitter a couple of weeks back that his release clause could be 30m.
