Hare I'm reading is he calm and calculated

Sport and el Mundo saying he was angry and his tone sounded agitated.

Which take is right 🤔

You can watch the press conference on Youtube, I am pretty sure Mundo Deportivo has it in English as well

I watched it - reminder that besides YT or MD, BarcaOne always host the Press conferences. It’s subjective but having watched him all season, he was emotional about the topic and once again reminded everyone he won’t make excuses before proceeding to rant about the lack of sufficient rest afforded by the league for the players

It was strong criticism, and he’s often quite shrewd in his press conferences - always calm but definitely the most emotional response I’ve seen from him at Barça…and certainly he’s right, it’s one of many scandalously corrupt issues in Spain

Yea I noted the I'm not making excuses then proceeds to complain/make an excuse.

He's done it a few times this season.

Is he playing 4D chess? I'm not sure.

He's definitely right about the specific issue though.

It is not excuses it is legtimate gripe with Spanish football.

The way they dont cater for teams in Europe and put a cup final days before European Semi finals is farcical.

Nothing like the endless list Xavi came out with as he more and more lost the plot.

Bro Xavi really went rabid as the months went by that season. I have never seen such a manager have head loss and crash out that insanely in one season. I adore this guy and appreciate him as a player and a manager but he shouldn't have lost it that way and I believe that was one of the core reasons why they sacked him

Of course.

He lost the plot and went into self preservation mode.

The 'resignation' was just that.. He played political games to lessen chance of club sacking him and had majority of Barca support feeling sorry for him with this fake narrative the media were anything but overly supportive of him.

Laport caught on when he spoke about players not being level fans should be expecting too much from.

Dont even think he was mentally 100% last season and was behaving in bizarre way.

Hopefully takes that last season and helps him in next job.

Flick: "The problem with Koundé is that if I tell him I'm giving him 30 minutes less, he'll do a run to Sitges, so I prefer him to give his all for the team."

----

"Today we talked about the situations we had in Dortmund to correct mistakes."

"Do you know how many games we've played in the last two weeks? I've never experienced a schedule like that. We don't have time to rest. We didn't play that well in Dortmund, but we're in the semis. It's normal for this to happen."

"Lamine is a genius. He's 17 years old and under a lot of pressure. We need him on the pitch, but also at his best. I talk to the players, and if he tells me he's feeling tired, we'll change something."

"I want to see the person responsible for not giving us more rest. Why can't we play at 6:30 p.m.? Why not? I don't want to make excuses, but this schedule is very tough."

Yeah, but Lamine is 17 year old. You can't rely on him to tell you he's tired. Might never do it, so you need to act preemtively. He should start on the bench vs Celta without a doubt.

He said they are not relying in it and also following data... which can only tell you so much.

The rules should be easy.. play like you are tired and will be taken out. He was in midweek.

Trouble is there is not anyone that can play that role on right if not there but still times when game over could be taken out.

Definitely it was the most pissed Flick version I've seen in press conferences. Still pretty calm and nowhere near Xavi moaning week in week out about injuries, referees, grass, lack of signings, etc. Who, btw. allthewhile gaslighted everyone how Barca played well. Clown.

Feel that drop that spilled the glass for Flick is Valladolid game being scheduled for 9PM instead of earlier as team return to Barcelona in middle of the night/early morning and have Inter in Milano in less than 72 hours. And he is absolutely right. How does that help Spanish football, coefficients, etc.
They could have easily scheduled it few hours earlier so the team return before midnight in Barcelona and have a normal night of rest instead of players returning in 2AM and losing much needed rest.
