He was really a steal and it shows, that some players can develop even after 20 years into worldclass. Need to look out for late bloomers too, you may get lucky.

No one was crying for a CB over Joan Garcia..
The issue is the club getting into position where CB leaves last minute and cant cover it.
This idea club made correct choice to sign GK or Raphinha ahead of that was never argued.

It is a made up argument... most thought Joan a great signing and realised club needed more pace and or 1v1 up top.
No one was claiming club should be signing a CB ahead of those players.
The issue with CB was Inigo leaving last minute so those transfers could even happen and Flick being caught out unexpectedly.

Ter Stegenionists pushing idea that Barca will not be able to easily improve on Ter Stegen. Joan Garcia made mistakes and nobody expected him to be perfect, yet still
easily clear ahead of aleman.

Was one of first to mention J Garcia on old forum and said he would be top signing.
He wasnt great in CL to be fair and will need to be better there but will come.

I think Joan Garcia will go down as an all time great.
Would love nothing more than for him to dwarf MATS 6 league titles, 6 Spanish Cups, 1 CL, x2 Barca player of Year, x1 La Liga Player of year etc.
Was on him earlier than anyone and doesnt prove anything wrong argued on MATS either.

Yes, I have that in my mind. But, neither has Ter Stegen been.

Indeed but MATS won it also and won a lot while being Barcas best player in more than one season and best in Spain in one.
Hopefully Joan Garcia can dwarf it.
Nah, he lacked mentality. He made those clownish blunders before barca as well.
Too often caught between two ideas. Overthinks things. Maybe too eager to prove himself or mind just works like that.
Had spells where really solid when he was able to build confidence. But fragile and one mistake could send him down cascade of more.
