14 - Karim Adeyemi

Transfer fee is going to decide how I feel about this one.

He's generally been average at Dortmund, his numbers are fairly poor, especially for a Buli attacker, and he's just come off his worst season for them, littered with disciplinary problems as well.

Couldn't even get into a geriatric Germany team either.

HOWEVER, he is at an age, 24, where he could potentially make a step up under a different setup and style. And of course that blistering pace is a huge asset.

No more than 50m for me and he could be worth a punt as our new centre forward.

Don't really see the idea behind this transfer. He'll cost at least 30-40m and is a RW, the position we have the least problems with. With Gordon, we can even put Rapha on the RW if Lamine is injured or needs a rest. He can also play on the #10, but we have that position covered as well with Olmo and Fermin.

Stupid transfer

Ter Stegen replacement.

Quick off his line, incredible hair, rapid reflexes.

Can't complain.

It's clear what type of attacker Flick wants as his main strength. Both Gordon and Adeyemi are still unpolished players so we are banking on Flick being able to up their levels.

Two wingers surely means Raphinha is gone cause I can't see any of these players being able to play CF long term.

1 year left of contract, shouldn't be too expensive.

I was ready to give Gordon a chance, but damn, getting two limited wingers, whose only strength is running fast, doesn't give me great hopes for the future. Just hope Flick and Deco know what they are doing.

Should be no more than 30-40m. Anything more, and I am not that pleased about it.

As I was one of the main proponents of keeping Rashy, I am fine with it. It actually means we are targeting UCL this season, and for that we need proper depth in the front lines.

Adeyemi has shown quality & talent. He surely can be a backup to Yamal. Better than Roony, and will be much cheaper & more suited to RW than Rashy.
I am happy.

Was hoping for Kroupi.

Well Adeyemi is certainly... Fast. It's an upgrade on current Ansu or Roony, so if he is entering at that squad position then he will do good.

But anything more or as a replacement for Rashy, then unless he can go up a level consistently and finishing wise, we may end up with an overpaid Dortmund player who has the scoring prowess of Ferran on a bad day.

This is certainly interesting. Another fast player. He's one of the players that can make a step to being top class in a better team.

One thing people are trending to overlook is that the guy is versatile as fuck.

This season he has played more as a CAM than RW & ST combined.
The season before, it was mainly RW.
And the season before that, it was LW.
Actually Lol.

Has speed and workrate only second to Rapha & Gordon. And with Ohlno's injury history & Fermin's consistency issues, I think Adeyemi might be a pretty decent option if gotten for cheap.

We'd still be missing that central defender, a striker and right back.

Yes, that is the issue that remains. It is risky to count on likes of Martin, Christensen, and Araujo.

Flick probably rates Martin and sees him as his personal project, but not sure he improves to the level needed.

Cubarsi too should still have someone more experienced back there. We've seen he's prone to cardinal mistakes with those red cards.
