At worst he will be a backup who can fill in for 3 positions up front, and we paid 22m for. A player who has played UCL football consistently.

Cant get a better deal than this.

How much better of a player do you want for rotation or bench option? Also, how much better of a player did you expect to get for 25mil to fit that role?

He was a great signing, and fully capable of filling that role with a huge upside in potential as well.

Deco signed a great rotational player for 20m who did great job in games so far, has all the attributes to help us off the bench and you are predicting how he will flop and telling us to trust you

He’s the kind of signing good sporting directors make. Cheap, underrated, fits into the system. This and the Gordon signing has me looking at deco differently.

Pretty much everyone in this thread expressed disagreement with you that Adeyemi will flop.

Probably because nothing at this point would show that. You said it doesn't matter if he was free or 50m. It absolutely fucking does I think, when evaluating a signing.

Well, here's a suggestion. Actually make your point clearly instead of hinting at it with vague insinuations. Explain what you think the problem with is Adeyemi, particularly in regard to his body language. Those kinds of claims are always well founded and reasonable.

The copium implies high expectations. Was never considered a star signing by anybody here, most people were taken by surprise with this. If he fulfills his gap filling role, he isn't a flop, because that's what he is - a filler guy to rest one of our main guys in attack. Gordon is obviously primed as one of the regulars and we see why. Hell, even he was considered a fill for Raphina before we realized that no regular 9 will be signed. Adye is like third guy in the pecking order and possible swap for Yamal, because Roony didn't cut it. .
