Yea, me too.. I think he had a very good season if we take into consideration the season before his arrival at Barca and playing in a new system, on the same position with one of the most important players.. He revived a bit his career, hope he'll do a good job at Man U this season, honestly I hoped he'll get a transfer somewhere else, because of that atmosphere with the press and the club situation..

Yep, was top that season, then the system changed, had a tense relationship with the new manager.. and things went left..
I think that's what he should've done this summer, to go somwhere where he fits, after a good season and rebuild his career. The thing is, he was considered a prospect from a young age at a huge club (at that time, at least), then became one of the main guys in the team, then a Star.. I mean, he was on the same level with Mbappe when they first came on the big stage of football.. I think that's what held him too, besides the salary to choose a lower option.
 
The first three games were enough to see that he is a very good fit in Flick's system because of his pace and workrate. And technically he's also better than people gave him credit for.
Obviously there are still things to improve, especially his finish. But from what he has shown so far, he won't be a failed transfer for sure.
 
Him getting better integrated with time is a given, of this I have no doubt - we have a gem on our hands. What I am curious about though will be how his game will impact how he contributes with England under Tuchel or anyone else? He has a lot of interesting perspective on limitations of English game as he was open to the tactical evolution even before his arrival.

The problem will mainly arise with his goal output. He is a great, well rounded player, but he is not prolific.

However, he has shown that he can be a creator. The other two forwards will need to carry the goalscoring burden.

In an ideal world Gordon would be part of the rotation and not a guaranteed starter, and that was initially how it appeared given that we would sign a striker. As a regular starter? I am not sure that he is a massive ceiling raiser. He is good enough, but not a Kvara or Dembele or Barcola.

Having him as the first sub with a starting 9 to allow Raphinha to move back to LW would have been a better plan.

He would have had a goal already if Yamal wasn’t so selfish. He won’t score as many as Yamal or Raphina but he will hit double figures comfortably over the season.
 
His pressing, his defensive presence and his workrate are very important. In Flick's system he will score for sure, seems like he adapted very good and already has assists and solid performances.

With Gordon, Adeyemi and Rodri I think the defensive will have less of a burden. With Gordon & Adeyemi workrate and the calmness Rodri brings to our game.

He’s definitely a late super sub candidate but should never be a Barca starter ..

A wasteful finisher , can’t pass , no vision , mediocre first touch ( generous) , poor at heading

He’s the absolute opposite to a traditional Barca player
