He basically did not exist next to Sorloth. Who himself is not a serious striker, just a physically imposing player

He did have many bad performances. People overlooked it because they know he should not be here in the first place

And sometimes you don't need disasterclass performances before concluding a player is not at required level. Martin is very slow and very weak and not the most intelligent player around

As much as people have tried to spin it since, he was also at fault for the Inter equalizer in last minute. Like I said people know he should not be at this level, so they cut him some slack when he performs bad

This is okay. I do this as well. I don't criticize him much even when he performs bad. But we must not let this turn into delusion that he really is a top defender. If we rely on him we will probably suffer a lot against every team with a traditional number 9, like we have last season
