19 - Roony Bardghji

I think someone like Malcom was much better than him but a capable SD would get 15-20 mil for him. I don't think he has a big wage, that's a big difference to someone like Fati even if the quality is similar. He should be much easier to sell but can't expect anything from Deco. It's probably going to be loan while paying part of his wages
His wage is very low from what I understand. Loaning him won't do us any good, he'll most probably fail in a mid table club in LL/Serie A. I wish him best of luck, but we have bigger fish to fry...

Where do you get these conclusions? He has performed well for Barca in several games and he is one of best young RW talents right now. I think he would very comfortable start for the teams you mentioned, and probably better than that.

Barca fans have this tendency to conclude players who aren't good enough for us can't play anywhere. We've heard the same kind of stuff being said about Balde, Kounde, Ferran, Araujo etc. Barca standards are a different breed. Players who are shit for us are probably world class for a different team.
Thank You.

Cules have a weird tendency. They will undervalue their own player when looking at MarketValue, but in the same breath, overvalue some other player way above their current MarketValue.

"one of the best young RW talents" 😂 dude... I can't take you seriously from now on, on any football related matter 🤣

Probably because of decades of horrible sells from our club where we were robbed at almost every outgoing transfer because of amateur SDs. Madrid would sell Roony for 20 mil without any problem.

I agree with you that we are not good at selling better players. We tend to sell them below there market value.

But I disagree with us selling Mediocre players. We have a history of selling Mediocre players for around the 12-16m mark. Which is what I think Roony will go for at this moment.

There was no chance he was starting, anyone who knows the club would've understood that. Moreover, Masia kids always know better than most what attitude to bring to a Clasico - it's not easy for players to raise their level to what is needed

We'll see what sort of minutes he gets in the final 3 matches because he will have an opportunity to show what he can do with little pressure

He was benched for Rashford buddy

15 to 20 million sale should be easy....but not for our club. They will sell for 5 million and rejoice over that paltry profit.

A lot of the time, these early bloomer types end up fizzling out to nothing, if their future growth is predicted based on their current ability (when they actually don't have much further room for improvement).

Nowadays in football players hit their physical and technical peaks faster than ever, so a player being a teenager no longer automatically means they have vast room for improvement. A teenager's ability, now more than ever, is not a solid indicator of future potential.

Yamal is an example of a player who despite being 18, is already close to his peak. The difference is that his baseline ability is so high that even a small level of improvement can make him a Ballondor winner. He has likely already reached or almost reached his technical/physical peak, however, unlike other teenagers, a little improvement in his mental/tactical understanding will make him an all-time legend. But more and more football is spitting out teenagers who are already close to their peaks.

Roony was a professional with FC Copenhagen at 16 and was touted to be one of the best talents in football. But at 20 he doesn't look much different to what he was at 16, granted that he missed a year due to injury. And he is probably an excellent example of this. His physical build hasn't changed from 16 and even at that age he looked old af in the face. Not withstanding some age inaccuracy, he could have passed for 25 when he was 16.

In such players as mentioned the main room for growth they will have is mental/tactical because they probably have achieved their technical and physical peaks already. And he doesn't seem like a super intelligent player. I think he is just another of the breakout teenagers who developed very fast compared to their peers but doesn't have much further to go nowadays.

Early bloomer is a stretch. He barely had anything to his name when he joined us besides some nice highlights vs United from one game.

He joined for cheap without much expectations and he showed nothing that makes him a long term option for Barca.
That said, based on the price we paid and for his attitude he brought to the dressing room, it was a great transfer. We'll at least triple our investment.

Flick has probably been curious if Rashford can provide support at RW. In that case we might sign Rashford and sell Roony.

He was hyped up years ago and his development didn't move as quickly as people were predicting.

He was playing for Copenhagen's first team at 16 and scored a few goals in the Danish league, after that he was very touted, but he didn't actually make a full breakthrough there over the next 2 years.

That's partly why we were able to sign him for 2 mill, price would have been higher a couple years before, and its why we took him on in the first place, he had a reputation of being a wonderkid, otherwise, he hasn't shown anything to make him a first teamer here.

Rashy can provide support on RW, but probably only in LL - if Yamal is out in later stages of CL Rashy won't be of much help on RW, he's much better on LW. But we have to sell Roony anyway, he doesn't have what it takes and his value will only go down from here... if we can bank 10m than do it and I wish him best of luck.
