I think so too but can't see Gavi getting any minutes except when Flick plays him out of pity because he likes him as a person. I'm pretty sure even Farinas would be better at this point, Gavi's last 2 appearances were horrible, the first (and only) WC game and the first game of the season with Barca. Wasn't any better last season too. For now the excuse is still that he is coming of a serious injury but at one point he'll have to accept he is not on the level of Barca.
 
Relax season just started there will be weeks that the team will have to play every 72 hours.

All players will get their minutes.

As I said yesterday he is a type of player that can be away from action for long periods and then plays and it's like he's been there every week. He's a specimen.
 
He has been quite good defensively since second part of last season. Much better than both Kounde and Balde. Maybe it's just purple patch, but he obviously is capable to get his shit together, when really wants. Not slow either.
 
Amazing we went from shit Balde-Martin LB combo to exciting Cancelo-Espart in half a year. For free.
 
Him being bad in defense is more of a rumour than justified criticism. He has been more than okay defensively in his second stint at Barça.

Obviously the attack is where he thrives the most due to his superior technical abilities, but he has become pretty balanced.

Relax bro

Cancelo big weakness has always been defending against better opponents and Espart hasn't even been able to prove himself against a proper winger.

It won't take much before "Cancelo finished" and "Espart wimp" claims will appear.

I agree they have done well so far with what's been given but I would be very careful with checking the box for LB issue as solved.
 
I'm comparing them to Balde, not claiming everything is solved and we have WC LBs. The situation is much better than a year ago but we'll see how Espart develops. There are numerous ways and positions that he can take, we will see.
 
Our left flank went from a dead zone to a constantly active area of the pitch. Espart, Cancelo, Gordon and Adeyemi are doing a crazy job.

And you can clearly see the difference in the whole team. From when Yamal was our only wing threat, and now when you have these ballers on the other side.
