Great signing
Hopefully we figure out a way to keep him.
Some fans couldn't see the vision when he was signed.
 
Cancelo-Eric > Balde-Kounde

Not even a question at this point. I believe Flick has seen the light.

Balde and Kounde can warm the bench or go in the summer. Especially if we sign a CB and Eric can play RB at all times
 
I think it confirms Balde is out more than in and clearly Eric is crucial in this team...and that we need a better RB to link well with Lamine. Again, I point to Ratiu

He has also become diabolical. Regression of the highest order.

It's a perfect situation to get some money for other positions. Sell Balde and Kounde, buy one versatile fullback (Palestra? Cambiasso? maybe Ratiu for RB?) ideally one who can cover both position and invest the leftover money in CB, LW or ST.

It's not a given that Arabs will let go of Cancelo for cheap though, that could make things complicated.
 
Deserved this title. And for his previous season here.

Said himself he didn't arrive in best shape here (we were all wondering why he was being left out initially) but he obviously has that work ethic and hunger to turn thing around.

Ideally, he stay on for another year and mentors a younger LB who's name is not Balde.

He helped us a lot, and yes people were saying he can't improve us.

I didn't see many situation lacking defense, I see more of Kounde being shittier in defense

That's true, he seemed better or at least on the same level in defense than Kounde and Balde or himself 2 years ago. I think he is really motivated to stay in Barca, it's his last chance in football and he loves the club. Hope we can get him for free or really cheap in the summer, he has been a great addition. I still wouldn't trust him in a CL knockout defensively but he's great for LL.
 
It’s pretty amusing that the only bridge he hasn’t managed to burn over his turbulent career is the one to Barca.

Otherwise known as the demolition crew.
 
The irony that Inzaghi didn't include him and then Inter were desperate to sign him on loan in January as well

I hope they can work out a reasonable deal to keep the player, he has been terrific
