Yup, around the same (6 to 8 years) the likes of Luis Enrique, Marquez, Eto, Mascherano, Suarez, Rakitic had in Barca. More than Ronaldinho or Deco by decent margin. Feels he is a bit like Cocu, but maybe it is due to lack of CL trophy.

I absolutely loved Cocu. He's one of my all-time favorite Barca midfielders. His time was obviously before you could really gather the collective fan vibe as easily as you can now, but I feel like he was loved universally by the fan base unlike Frenkie who's always been divisive. Unless something drastic happens, and he's somehow instrumental in an unlikely ChL victory before he leaves, Frenkie's legacy here won't even be close to touching that of Cocu's in my book - despite the huge disparity in titles won. It's probably rooted in the expectations we had when he signed.

And has always been a top 5 highest paid player in the squad for very close to it.

The whole situation when the club was trying to sell him and he just won't leave always leaves a bad taste. Basically he's telling the club you will never make a dime off me.

If we win a CL with him being a leading player it will change perceptions and as a Barca fan I would love it. But I have my doubts

He's part of the pre-season squad as well lol. The club probably doesn't allow him to relax and enjoy vacation. :lol:
 
Just chop his leg off and declare him invalid for sportball. Will save all the trouble for everybody. Shouldn't be near this club just like the Bald Limp Dick Stegs (he ain't bald yet, but sure limpdick cuck).

Not sure I believe this but apparently he stoke with deco/laporta after flick told him he has to come on the tour.
 
I don't follow social media gossip so I'll trust the stuff you guys post here. If there is anything in this whole story that he didn't want to play, rested himself for the WC, worsened his injury and is now in dispute about participating in the pre-season tour with the coach, I don't think he has much of a future here anymore.
 
I mean, no one will remember who Umtitty or Umtata was either, but at least he can show the medal and some video footage to his grandchildren. Also Barca didn't have much of a shot at the CL during his time anyway so can't fault him for that decision.
 
I dont think he will win a title with Netherlands, they are far away from the lvl of 2010-2014 and key defence player Van Dijk is becoming a grandpa. His best chance was in 2019 when his team reached the final but Portugal was just too strong. It will take a lot of years until they will be able to fight for an int. title. His chances to win a cl with Barca are waaaaaaaay higher so dont think he has the intentions to rest in club football for his national team :sherlock:
