21 - Frenkie de Jong

That was quick. Expected winter at least.
Question is whether it'll sustain or if it's back to doctor's office within two weeks.

I'll believe it when I see him on the pitch, I doubt that will be anytime soon. I think the club set a deadline that he has to return after the break or he has to take the surgery and these statements are just to pressure him into it. I remember this already happened but I'm not sure if it was FDJ or Fati? Umtiti?

I would like it to be true and he returns because he can help this team but I'm not betting on it.

This guy need to become a RB.

I have been thinking this for years but he was always needed in midfield so it never made sense. Now that he lost his place in midfield we could solve the RB problem with him. I think he would be great in it, he has all the tools to be a fullback who inverts or goes outside, he's quick, ok defensively, the best at running with the ball, good passer etc... The other option is LCB which he already played at Ajax but that's next level total footbal and suicide football which seems perfect for Flick. I don't expect it, it's probably a little too crazy and Frenkie could make a fuss but I like the idea.

Imagine having Rodri Pedri Olmo/Fermin with Cubarsi behind and FDJ and Xavi on the sides. No one would take the ball from us ever.

If we replace him with a quality CM I'd like him gone next summer... dude fucked up by playing the WC like a fucking mummy and than going on vacation for 2 weeks instead of checking in with our doctors - its like HE'S running the club and calls the shots. Nah man, enough drama with this dummy.

Frenkie has taken a MAJOR step forward and has started working with the ball on the pitch individually at moderate intensity, with his sensations improving significantly. There is still no rush, with his return to group training expected in around 2–3 weeks. Barça will reassess his condition after the international break before determining a more precise return date. We need him to rotate in for Pedri and Rodri to keep both fresh without losing too much control. Bernal isn't in a good form right now sadly. You feel the midfield control and quality dropping once he's on the pitch.

I still think we are just waiting on the news the return isn't happening and he will do the surgery. Hope I am wrong.
