Already entering his 8th season as a Barcelona player, shame he only showed his best levels in an odd amount of seasons; 2020-21, 2022-23 and 2024-25. Those were his best seasons for us but for a player of his transfer fee, you would expect him to do way more than be let's say near world class in 3/7 complete seasons. He hasn't even played over 30 LaLiga games in 1 season since his first LaLiga title season in 2022-23.
 
Jokes aside, but he needs to attack/assist more when played with Rodri - he can do his side passes when he plays with Pedri.
Another thing I thought about... if we have an injury to either Fermin or Olmo I'd also try/rotate Frenkie as CAM - I think he could do well there without some defensive duties.
 
First of all let's just hope he'll improve in training and his knee will hold the pressure, otherwise a surgery might be needed and then he's out for the season.
 
He's good news for the squad rotation, he's versatile in midfield and I'm sure Frenkie will be utilized outside of CDM.

Still, though, he's a month away from the Barca bench in fitness.

I think they already said he won't return to matches until November. This is not a regular return to trainings, this is to see how his knee reacts to full load. I still think it's very possible he'll get surgery in the end but hope he really returns in November without it.

Exactly. If by some miracle he won't feel anything in his knee starting today's group session going forward, they'll increase the load with each day until he does the full training with the group and could be ready to play in 2 weeks. I said it's unlikely, but not impossible. Will depend on his feelings in this week's training.
Flick said he hopes to have him back after the int. break. Let's see.
 
I really hope he doesn't relapse or need surgery. I am quite looking forward to both him & Rodri on the pitch together.

Also want to see all three of Pedri-Rodri_FDJ start in midfield. Need to see how good they can be together.

This should be one of the subs we can make to play on the break and protect the defense more. Olmo or Fermin for a more defensive midfielder.

I feel like against teams like PSG & Bayern, going with Pedri-Rodri-FDJ will give us a bigger edge than having Olmo or Fermin.

While Arsenal & ManC having Olmo or Fermin is the better bet.
