It's kind of hard with these types of players who are too good for the B team but not good enough for first-team minutes.8m is nothing in today's football. That's like 4/5m a decade ago. And in 2018 we paid 4.7m for Ronald Araujo out of Uruguay.
Deco took a punt because he looks like one of those raw AF extremely talented kids like Dembele and Diomande. Could explode, or could end up a Segunda nobody. It's all down to if the lad has the mentality to harness the talent.
Nothing more to it really. I reckon he's getting minutes later in the season when after adapting and being fully match fit, he is on a completely different level to the rest of the B attackers.
When B was in Primera RFEF it was easier to evaluate those players. The level was a bit better and the playing conditions weren't so terrible. Ditto Segunda.
With the B team being in the 4th division I think it is difficult to keep players there and expect them to develop at that level. Bisiwu cost 8m, does a player who can command that fee have anything to do with the 4th division? Is he going to develop playing there?
Ideally, these kinds of players should be filling squad/backup roles in the first-team so they can play from time to time whilst also training at the first-team level, but it doesn't look like Flick thinks Bisiwu is up to the level for that yet. In that case, he should have gone on loan, much better than playing with the B team.
