3 - Alejandro Balde

Seems to be 3rd choice at LB now for Flick.
I think that's unfair, but it is a question of style of play as well, and it is a fact that Espart and Cancelo fit more what Flick wants to play

He has 'EPL in January' written all over him.
It might do him good, like with Araujo. His strengths fit EPL so much better.
I see him easily starter at both Liverpool and UTD, and basically all top 6 bar Newcastle who have Lewis Hall, at the LB position.

Well said this I agree with and what the coach is basically saying. Clearly a play style decision.

With espart coming into Midfield and at times Gordon coming inside as well. We have no width on the left. Cancelo balances coming into Midfield but still offering width when needed better than espart, but he's still learning.

Balde should definitely leave in January, anywhere he does he's going to be the starting LB

In what way is Balde being 3rd choice unfair when clearly two players, at the least, have been superior to him - I think it's unfair he has squandered his opportunities to develop and has otherwise stalled. A shock that every player at Barça improved under Hansi except for Alejandro

Wherever he ends up to me is irrelevant, its whether he has a future here despite his love for club - I don't see a player that is serious about his profession. Not the first, nor the last

Lads, tis only 5 games in. His is the only position we have 3 players who can play.
I am sure he will get his minutes.

And yes, if by Jan he doesnt impress, I am sure ManYoo and Pool will be come looking.
Same goes for Kounde.

We are in a good position where ManYoo & Pool would realistically want 2 fullbacks, and we have both in surplus who would do well for them and can fetch us a pretty decent sum. All depends on how their season pans out till then, every party involved.

We can buy Salinas and call it a day.

Hansi chose his words carefully when queried about Balde's situation and it didn't sound like someone who had given up on player but rather someone who recognizes the challenge and that it is up to the player. I had the impression he hadn't closed the door on his re-integration into the rotation but that he would have to win it

Good to see him getting a shot but comfortably remains 3rd choice LB - its still very much uphill for him
