We already have Cancelo ahead of him. He's a Masia lad earning not that much.
Why even worry about selling him? He has shown his potential before, maybe having Cancelo will lit a fire in him. Let's wait till next summer and then evaluate.
Upgrading on him means we atleast spend about 25m. That's not feasible, when we already need a LCB & a RB upgrade.

Has his limits no doubt especially final ball. And Cancelo has been an upgrade for us yes. Doubt the average PL club fx would pick Cancelo over him tho.
Very quick, decent defensively, technially above average. Think he'd be great in a lot teams.

I think we all wanted him to suceed but he never improved and he's not good enough to be a starter at Barca. I'm sure we would all love that players like him, Casado, Roony would be good enough but they just aren't. There is no conspiracy, no underrating but it's just the truth.
Balde would be ok to stay as LB backup but I think we could get a decent fee from EPL from him if Deco plays his cards right. For me he's very similar to Semedo in many ways. He had a decent career when he left us, Balde can too. The only difference is that he's La Masia and it's harder for us to sell him but it will happen sooner or later.

Especially with us signing that kid for the B team.

Was very good to Excellent in two title winning seasons.
Injured pretty much one season and was below what was expected last season.
But he has to really push this year if he wants to secure the LB sport for the next 5+ years. And also stay fit

He had weaknesses when came through but a bit like Araujo when first arrive the positives are focused on and assume would learn.
Balde hasnt developed many parts of his game and gives off an air of arrogance at times.
Maybe last season was kick up arse he needs to try and work on improving on final ball.
Still massively lacks on engaging players defensively and being able to beat players unless can knock by them. While final ball been discussed to death.
His passing out from back is basic also.
Too many teams in past few seasons have been funnelling ball to Barca full backs and then setting traps when have Kounde/Balde together.
In same way do with Araujo.

I think he can improve defensively but in attack his extreme one-footedness will limit him forever.
Defensively he is very fast so this alone can help him. Nuno is not some master in defending but he will get to the ball faster than you even if you dribble past him. Balde last season didn't show the same explosive speed he had in some earlier seasons, not sure why.

I gave up on him, he seems like a lost cause, I feel like just like this guy Jules Kounde, he was never the same since his injury in 2024-25. I feel like after that injury against Leganes, there is clearly something wrong with this guy. Maybe we overrated him too much in 2024-25 but man, it really felt like he fell off a cliff since that injury.
Shut up dork. Balde is a stupid player who peaked at 17.
Raphinha is boss though. Don't mention his name in vain.

Goal was more on Cortes than Balde. Balde could have ran like crazy after him and Cortes could have just moved in his lane instead of jogging backwards and watching the ball instead of runners
It is insignificant though as nobody cares if we win these friendlies, just to evaluate the team. It is significant just for the guy who fucks up because he loses Flick's trust
Balde already lost Flick's trust and he can earn it back only in La Liga or UCL, not pre season friendlies

I am virtually there myself which seems to be consistent with the current narrative, he's at the last chance saloon this season. Either he asks to leave when he sees no minutes or a worthwhile offer arrives for him
He's 22 and while he's been with 1st team for awhile, he is still a ways from the peak age period for FBs where it can develop still. Unfortunately, no one has seen signs of improvement
Baffling since the kid loves the club but absolutely stagnated
Even in a friendly, no excuse for dogging it like this - goal was entirely on him
