6 - Gavi

He's turning himself into a mascot.

Starting to seem like he is happy just giving tons of interviews and getting into scraps on the bench, as long as he can ride with the team.

That's not competitive spirit... that is someone who's enjoying the fame.

I don't know, but I really think he is not the same guy since he came through, the fame and the admiration have gone to his head, and he's forgotten why he is here in the first place, because he once showed a lot of promise on the field.
That's an impressive overanalyzation you just pulled out of your ass there. What would you have him do? Sulk on the bench? Nobody expected he'd even make it to the WC squad due to his injury, let alone be a starter.

What makes you think he is happy in this role?

Of course he will be happy right now, his nation won the world cup.

Only time will tell.

But he is doing what Araujo did when he started to decline which is run his mouth endlessly in the media about how people know nothing about football, his teammates love him, all the managers rate him etc.

I don't know. Let's see. I think more likely what happens is that he ends up not playing much and people will claim the injuries finished him.

Well if you go from being a starter for Spain and Barcelona across 4/5 different Managers then pick up and injury and let's say you get sold to Monaco after a year or two of trying to find your form and self again and it doesn't happen.

It would clearly indicate the injury played a massive part in your down fall.

Injuries didn't ruin fati for example

He had a good end to last season for us and earned his spot in the Spain roster. With Frenkie injured Bernal and him will be key players for at least half the season.

As always we are way too harsh on literal kids.

He was bang average at best in those games at end of season and terrible in more than one.

Absolutely woeful in last game away to Valencia for example but some tried to make out played well.

'Literal kids'.. reality a soon to be 22 year old adult.

He has 'main man' syndrome as much as likes of Bellingham but cant back it up.

He needs to show way more. Levels behind all of Pedri, FdJ and Bernal on the ball. There's not enough football in him right now.

He was torn a new arse hole by likes of Javi Guerra in that 'good end to a season'.

He played at LW/AM more than once or Barca at end of season.. and was utterly atrocious as was for Spain when played there.

In no way earned it on performances in that time.

He got put on his arse like a child.

Genuinely believes he is a hard man.

End of day matters not a jot to the result so no big deal.

Likewise how over rated some La Masia players get when folk choose them to be top.

Likes of Puig is no less an utter wee nyaff because he came through La Masia.

It matters little to opinions that can be formed.

Saying Gavi is a fake wee hardman and acts in way as if a top player is a fact.. not even hate.

If he can back it up then all good.

In general likes of Cubarsi got more 'shit' this past season than likes of Gavi anyway. When he is levels and levels a better player.

Jammy, every now and then when your rage boner for Gavi gets just slightly flaccid (if it ever does), do you ever stop and wonder why great managers like Flick, Lucho and De la Fuente (and not so great ones like Xavi and Koeman) have all given him plenty minutes? Are they all completely clueless, or has it just been for a lack of alternatives?

Lucho probably cost Spain any chance of World Cup by playing Gavi and Busi in midfield.

Lucho also played Rodri CB.

DLF has only won without Gavi is the reality and saw enough this World Cup to know couldnt be trusted.

Pretty sure Gavi played in the NL final win against Croatia, no?

Anyhow, I'm sure we can all nit-pick and find mistakes of varying degrees from most great managers, but you have to admit, that just about all managers who have been around Gavi, have played him quite a lot, considering how shit a footballer he is in your eyes.

We'll see how it goes this season. If he doesn't get yet another injury, it's time we find out, of there's any depth to his very apparent talent, he showed as a teenager or not.

Nations league.. a more or less friendly tournament.

Winning that Nations League and thinking likes of Busi and Gavi could translate it to the World Cup and a proper test ultimately cost them.

Pretty sure only Ronaldo fans make out that means aything.

Pretty sure Spain won the tournaments that matter without Gavi and with him were abysmal.

I dont think Gavi is shit.. just nowhere near a top player to date.

Players like Puig were truly shit. Then have likes of Casado between him and Gavi.

Wasn't saying nations League was a friendly when the Dutch won against Spain and Frenkie had a good game.

In fact was using it to trying to highlight how much better Frenkie is that ruiz.

The Dutch then went in to lose the 2nd leg of course. 😂

Nations League has always been a friendly... as said before and after those games..

Frenkie was better both legs.. as much as that means to anyone.

Qualified it with.. to who it matters to Frenkie out played the Spain midfield... same folk who claimed before it does matter.

Only Ronaldo fans make out that tournament matters.

There is not a team in world that picks Ruiz over Frenkie.

PSG and Barca included.

I don't think anyone out there believes he's a top player - especially now that his career has been completely derailed by injuries. But I do think there's talent in there, which apparently all his coaches believe as well.

...but good to know you don't think he's actually a shit player, because your plethora of posts about him sure does make it look so.

Anyhow, let's leave it at that. As mentioned, I do hope we get some questions answered this coming season.
