Abde Ezzalzouli

This season he has 7 goals and 8 assists in 24 LL games, it looks like he is starting to really achieve his potential. Earlier in the season he also wasn't starting regularly, it is in the second half of the season that he secured his place.

Various reports recently (though mainly from lower reliability sources) link him to Liverpool or other teams in the Premier League.

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/sto...li-marcus-rashford-future-shape-plans-sources ESPN say we are actually interested in bringing him back.

One of the major problems is that as part of the deal to end Roque's loan, we allowed Betis to gain 30% of his rights. We initially held a 50% sell on fee as part of the 7m sale to them, but as compensation for allowing Roque's transfer to Palmeiras before the Club World Cup, we agreed to lower our stake in Abde to 20%. I was only just reminded of this after reading the terms of Roque's sale.

Abde has a release clause of 60m but they'd probably let him go for 30m-40m at most. There probably is genuine interest in him for that price, so the 30% we gave away of him might end up being 10-15m, and it will directly cost us if we are actually thinking of bringing him back, as we'd have had a much cheaper transfer.

Palmeiras were going to sign Roque anyway after the Club World Cup so giving up 30% of Abde simply to make it happen quicker seems like a rushed and irresponsible financial decision. With our current 20%, we would still stand to gain 5-10m of his possible transfer this summer.

Reported again that the club are seriously interested in him or Jan Virgili (19), also ex Barca, as an alternative if we decide not to transfer Rashford.

Our buyback for Abde (25m) expired last summer, whilst we held 50% of his rights, but as mentioned above, our stake in him is now 20% due to us giving back 30% to Betis as compensation for terminating Roque's loan.

This would put any possible deal likely around 20-25m. Assuming Betis charge around 30m we'd get 7.5m off that with our percentage.

We have 50% of Virgili's rights and a right of first refusal (meaning our offer takes priority over other teams if it is equal). Virgili has a release clause of 30m, and Mallorca might be prepared to accept slightly under that, meaning he'd cost 15 million or less on relatively low wages.

Virgili has 2 goals and 6 assists in LL this season, whilst he's been in and out of the lineup, playing around half of the possible minutes.

Virgili is underwhelming option as it stands tbh. He might take a leap in a year or two, but so far he is below our level.

Abde is solid, but I am not sure he will like a comebacks. He can be a starter in some decent EPL while being handsomely

Got pocketed by Fort in the last match.

Ya I think we should stay away from him. It increasingly looks like Rashy would be the one for us, if we want a cheapish deal.
