Hope nobody comes up with a "great" idea like giving him another year or two. Dude has been injured more than he's been able to play for us.
 
This guy turned into Thomas Vermaelen bar for Barca same career.

Comes to Barca does well initially then never plays again while getting paid.

He will go somewhere else and immediately start playing just like Vermaelen did when he left.
 
Mundo saying terms are more or less agreed on his renewal.

As ever with him it is fitness.

If relatively low salary as back up RCB to Cubarsi it is fine.. if he is fit more often.

This could all end with no CB signed and Christensen renewed and Cortes promoted and club spinning it as their choice.
 
There will be some kind of help to this seasons FFP involved and effectively a short term decision to push FFP space down the road as so often is the case.

Will be same reason they even contemplated renewing Lewa.

There is 0% chance this is purely about renewing him going forward.
 
Always healthy in time for the celebrations. It's a shame, he's a good character and good player, but his body doesn't allow him to.
 
Damn, they just don't want to get rid of him.

He is not that low on wages, maybe this will help us on terms of FFP, but on other aspect I don't see anything good from him.
 
I'm not concerned about his level as a player. This was a rare stinker from him.

But giving him a contract after having played less than 700 minutes of football over the last two seasons......... not to mention Flick didn't even rate him when he was around for some reason

Ofcourse, he will have a stinker, the guy hasnt touched football properly, let alone play for the past 2 years and more.

We cant do anything but pray that he stays fit. And can play atleast 800 minutes next season.
