Gordon, a good signing?

We can argue it was one of the biggest Bartomeus mistakes that he never got a left winger like Gordon, Rapha or Pedro to play next to Messi in his last 5 years here. I think a player like that would elevate Valverde's Barca a lot. Imagine Raphinha running to Messi's through balls in attack and cover for Suarez and Messi's walking.

It looks like the club finally has a plan to build a modern team around Yamal for the next 5 years and Gordon fits perfectly just as Alvarez does. Hope they execute it.

Without a single doubt this was missing. But EV never had a voice in this manner, and Bartomeu had a voice, but no brains. Messi as a playmaker would've worked far better in terms of winning the CL if instead of lazy bums like Coutinho you bring actual athletes willing to work for him and the team. That's how Argentina went all the way.

I just watched podcast with people who actually work for clubs as scouts, analisyts etc...

They said Gordon is great fit, we need someone to do dirty work in pressing, he is really fast, smart and solid in all areas.

Mind dropping a link for said podcast? If it's in English that is.

Flick wants defense breakers up front and Gordon might just be the right guy at the right moment. Nothing sophisticated, actually this transfer makes a lot of sense from tactical standpoint.

I think he will immediately become a fan favorite

Just what number, 12?

Else,19 once Roony exits

I think he'll do very well here.

People say we spent 80 million on a guy who won't be a "Starter." I actually expect him to have a similar role in terms of playing time like Eric did this season. He'll be there in some way or form.

He's the actual closest we have to an actual Raphinha back up as it gets in the team in the context of skill sets.

Tribina? They don't follow international football closely, they just made fun out of Eric Garcia which shows they don't watch it regularly. Not the first time they showed lack of knowledge about Barca. I believe them about Vušković being too slow for us, they know Croatian players. When did they talk about Gordon?

They didnt. Its 3 minutes long. And yes, guy loled when Eric Garcia came up. Maybe he's just a hater or clueless.

Yooo didnt follow him in PL but watched several youtube videos and he looks incredible! Dribbling and passing are top. Also a pressing monster. Levels above lazyford.

Also its probably Hansi who wanted him and no way Hansi would buy a 'wrong' player. Could have been cheaper though.

@Messi983 hope you like him!

Got to love the hypocrites out there who say 'Barca bad' to any situation.

With Gordon it is 'lets all laugh at Barca they paid too much to early' as if Bayern were the noble ones who knew what they were doing and didnt pay up.

But when it comes to Rashford or Alvarez.. then its all about Barca not immediately paying 30m or 150m and being scum as try to low ball.

Fucking idiots out there to point read some Chelsea fans saying 'this is what makes Real different'.

Would that be the same Real who Courtois went on strike from Chelsea to sign for? Same Real whos players and president openly spoke about wanting to sign Hazard the day before he played a European final?

Utter numpties out there where their only common them is to find the 'Barca Bad' angle.

The whole Øvrebø incident rattled them something fierce.

For us it's lever jokes and oh "Barca clearly haven't learned their lesson when it comes to spending wads of cash"

But if Bayern had signed Gordon, oh boy they would be kissing Bayern's ass like no tomorrow and being like "See this is why they are so good at money management and talent ID"

Can't win really with the always online crowd with horrible takes.

Same with Bayern not paying the fee Newcastle wanted.. they are seen as sensible and prudent.

Barca not immediately paying the fees Man Utd and Atletico want? Scummy behaviour.

United fans are complaining about Rashford having two years left on his deal and with United now back in the CL his wages are extremely high and they desperately want to get rid of him.

We offer something less than 30 million.

Also united fans

"HOW DARE THEY LOW BALL US! WE KNOW WHAT WE GOT!" Like some fucking weirdo on Facebook marketplace trying sell off a pile of shit for more than it's worth.

Why do you guys care what retards like that think? They think we have some moral obligation to buy that lazy overpriced prick. Thank god Deco and Flick see him for who he is, it was clear after the Atleti match that his laziness cost him the spot.
