Barça Atlètic

With reported signings of CB Mikael Baza and DM Mirza Catovic we currently have 30 players in BA though three of them (Patricio Pacifico, Sama Nomoko and Juan Hernandez) are out with longterm injuries while Ebrima will also miss start of the season.

GK: Aller, Bonfill, I. Rodriguez
RB: Farre, G. Victor
CB: Campos, Gariba, Castro, Onstein, Baza, Pacifico*
LB: Caicedo, Walton
DM: Avila, Catovic
CM: Villar, R. Martinez, Tunkara
AM: Ybarra, I. Diarra, J. Hernandez*
LW: Kluivert, A. Gonzalez, Chelfi
RW: J. Hernandez, Aziz Issah, Nomoko*
ST: Gistau, Quer, Fofana

Let's see if there will be some more movements before deadline. Overall looks a large squad but with how many injuries we usually have can't hurt having a few more players though we can always promote from within (and players like Goren and Pesquer will push for BA minutes anyway). And ofc there is a possibility that Bisiwu and/or Hamza will also play some games for BA this season.

A number of those will be playing JA with rotation to Atletic. The only position that looks overbooked are the CBs but I expect one (or both) of Onstein and Baza to start with JA.

Gone to Saudi.

And R. Martinez to Qatar.

Roger Martínez's stint at Barça Atlètic lasted just one season. The 22-year-old midfielder—who arrived on a free transfer after a loan spell at Lugo from RCD Espanyol—had signed a two-year deal in the summer of 2025 running until 2027, but the *Azulgrana* club announced his transfer this Thursday to Al-Markhiya SC, the leaders of the Qatari Second Division. The club retains a percentage of any future sale of the player.

Could somebody please make a list of players to keep an eye on this season, aka the players with most potential apart from the obvious ones like Tunkara and Bisiwu.

Gotta say Caicedo looks very interesting. Very strong and quick.

Don't know if he will be first team material but will be someone we make some money off regardless if he cannot make the step.

I TOTALLY missed this, Sergio Busquets is assistant coach for Atletic since 2-3 weeks?!

Great start of the season. 5-0 win against newly promoted Naxara, Quer with 4 goals.

For me the most interesting ones are Caicedo and CBs - Campos and Gariba, hopefully Onstein can finally get fit to play as well. Also watch out for Sergi Mayans if given a chance though likely will spend most of the season in Juvenil as still only 17. The same with Baba Kourouma.

Probably won't see Baza in BA for at least a few months too as they'll likely let him adapt to the club in Juvenil like did with other new recent signings (Hamza, Tavares and Onstein). Unless injury crisis or he just convince the coaches he's ready for a step up. I like Farre too but injuries have stopped his progres.

From midfielders Villar and Goren (Avila as well but he's another one who can't stay fit), interested what new signing Catovic can offer too. Hopefully Ibrahim Diarra will finally stay fit and show his talent but I'm starting to lose my hope and I've been a big fan of his since first saw him playing for Mali in the U17 WC.

With Sama Nomoko still out for months I don't think there is too much to look forward with attackers assuming Hamza and Bisiwu will probably stay with the first team. Gistau is talented but made of glass so Nuhu Fofana could get a chance but clearly after scoring 4 goals in his debut #9 it's Quer's position to lose.

Alex Gonzalez and Shane Kluivert are decent but don't think they'll make it to the top level though in Shane's case I suspect he could be a bit of a late bloomer like his brother and will need until his mid-twenties to figure everything out. Too late for his Barca career but could still be a solid player in top 5 leagues longterm. Aziz is a good player for this level but I question his upside. If we can make some money down the road with him will be great.
