My prefered option for lcb is Micky vd Ven from Spurs. He can pass and is very quick and strong. He plays lb as well.
I prefer to keep Rashford just on lower wages despite how he might frustrate me at times.

Striker is tough, there are not many quality strikers out there or they are not realistic to get.
Even a guy like Osimhen would be difficult to get.
Only realistic option then would be Guirassy despite his age.
I dont know wtf happened to strikers compared to 25 years ago when the game was loaded with great strikers.
Now I can barely name 5. Even the second tier from back then would be toer 1 strikers nowadays like Hasselbaink, Makaay, Jardel, Larsson, Crespo, Trezeguet, Elber, Suker etc.

Hell, I would take prime Kluivert in this barca in a heartbeat.

Agreed on strikers and good shout on Kluivert. While frustrating and scored fewer than he should he would kill here. Had stronger physical presence, technique. I could see him make other players around him better. Lewa does not and did not.
 
Well we don't have the money for Osimhen or Alvarez so Joao Pedro is the most obvious option.

I hope we get it done. He is a superb footballer and has no business playing for such a shit side.

How much are you expecting Joao Pedro to go for?

Cant see him being cheaper than would take for Osihmen or being some kind of cheap option.

Bar FFP issues cant see Chelsea letting him go.

He's reportedly on 125k per week at Chelsea.

Joao Pedro is 25 this year and would be signing his peak years contract.

If Barca are paying a big fee and a big salaries to others cant see his agent or him agreeing to anything all that low ball.

Just cant see why Chelsea would entertain selling him ahead of others but would be good signing.
 
Joao Pedro is another duffer. Scores goals in bunches. Goes on regular droughts where he won't score for a number of games.

Did it for Brighton, does it for Chelsea as well. Chelsea were regularly subbing him off early on in the season due to him being ineffective, more ofter than not against the weakest of EPL sides.

Why would you pay 100m for someone like that?

Mental to even think about it.

I genuinely fear we will do another Griezman, Dembele, Coutinho if we give Deco a few hundred million to spend.

If he is great at link up, hold up, technically, smart and hard working, I don't even care about his goals. They will come, in this system even Ferran scored loads. Barça striker in this team gets almost guaranteed 2-3 good chances per game, usually more. Pedro is a better finisher and he will score goals.

Will depend if we reach 1:1 or not. With Lewy gone, a huge ffp margin frees up and if we can invest it 1:1, I think the club could do a 60-80m transfer. Divided through the contract years, the annual cost would be similar to Lewys salary then. But that's a big if.
