Camp Nou

Ticket prices for last home game are insane. Around €400 at lateral side, even with 20% member discount it's still €320. They know how to milk the demand. Can't wait till it gets to full capacity.

Barça have submitted a request to the City Council to use the Montjuïc stadium during the first half of the 2027–28 season, due to the roof installation works that will take place at the Spotify Camp Nou. [@mundodeportivo]

Limak actually requested it to be done next January, I think it is Barca that want to postpone it in order to benefit from summer break

Summer break + potential CL / Copa playoffs home games. Also Limak isn't really to be trusted with their timeline. It could very well be, that they can't start constructing the roof in January yet and then we'll waste money paying for the Montjuic without playing there. That's a smart decision from the club.

The formula is easy to follow, whatever generates the maximum revenue from matches - that dictates the timelines

I think the club is wise to finish the roof in summer + first part of 2027-28 season, to not affect critical CL knockouts for next season. They have a long way to go until they start with the roof. The ceramic slats are way behind for example.

Just open with 80k+ capacity next season. That's all we need for now. 3 whole months to prepare for this.

Failure shouldnt be tolerated this time.

They only need to take care of one thing. No Montjuic for March - May of 2027. They can move to Montjuic in any other period except CL knockouts.

We desperately need to really join the most elite group of teams. At the moment only PSG sits there. It is a group of 1. The rest of the teams don't impress me one bit.

Barça won't return to the stadium until the Joan Gamper Trophy in mid-August, giving Limak a long window without matches to continue work.

The third level is already built, with the concrete in place. Welding work is underway now, and the next steps are waterproofing and installing the seats.

The club has asked the city council to open the third tier of Spotify Camp Nou over three phases. The city council must review the request with the club's intention to be able to play with a full stadium next season.

The 3rd tier (third level) at Camp Nou is scheduled to open in October 2026. This will allow the stadium to reach a higher capacity over three phases next season.

  • 1st phase (Lateral side) scheduled for around October 2026 with the VIP rings between the second and third tiers are also part of that phase. Roughly 10k seats added for 72k
  • 2nd phase (Tribuna side) by late 2026 or early 2027 will see capacity reach 80k
  • 3rd phase (Gol Sud & Nord) by April/May 2027 for full 105 capacity

The work will also continue in other areas of Espai Barça, including the new museum and the new Camp Nou store.

The club believes it's possible to install the roof in 4 months, at the end of next season (summer 2027).

If the deadlines aren't met, they are considering two options. If it's for just a few matches, play at Johan Cruyff Stadium with 10,000 spectators or return to Montjuïc if it takes longer

Skywalk planned for summer 2028. Pretty solid plan, looking forward to seeing that 3rd tier filling up over the course of next season - I will aim for Q1/Q2 of 2027 to attend a match. I just hope the pricing normalizes

So in real world considering past delays we'll probably end the 26/27 season in 60k capacity, play in Montjuic most of the 27/28 season and return to CN somewhere in 2028.

That sounds all and well, but I don't see them coming close to this schedule. VIP rings are far from done, the stairwells and elevators to reach the third stand as well. You can all watch this in Ferran Barniol's videos. And then there is the third stand itself, that is just concrete blocks on a steel skeleton for now.
And the biggest reason why I think they won't make it is, because they don't even focus on these parts. They're streched on 7 floors and that's why the work slowed down considerably. Also don't forget they'll be occupied with building the compression ring as well.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be glad to eat my own words if they open at least one part of the third stand early next season, but I just don't see it if they don't hire hundreds of additional workers over the summer break period.

I concur it feels very bare bones eventhough I have yet to visit in person since the reconstruction got to this stage

I believe the compression ring is only about 1/4 complete (The lateral side, which is why the 1st phase for 3rd tier opening will start here) but this is also why roof is planned for next summer, leaving time to complete the ring in parallel as they move to tribuna in Fall and gols to follow. I think this is possible but requires very precise organization. Provided, of course, if the city council doesn't continue to screw the club

Seems quite clear the objective is to increase stadium revenue and to ensure that, get butts in the seats as quickly as possible - hence, skeleton before the details fill out ultimately. I think it is what it is really
