Definitely. Plus, people are thrilled with being able to return after so long away as the progress continues - only a cynic would complain, unless there were functional failures of which I am familiar with only one - leaks. More or less expected without a roof but this is still in a work in progress with a skeleton Camp Nou not yet completed which hasn't prevented cules from enjoying the experience based on post-match feedback on SM
Financially, club I am sure are disappointed it has been delayed but the phasing aspect is working to club's advantage in the end and as painful as Montjuic was it helped the club when we were desperate. Plus, few imagined the Nike deal redo and BLM exploding like it has - all a credit to Laporta et al. But getting more revenue out of Camp Nou is the only thing that will push our wage cap up so it has to be done with this in mind, first & foremost. Get people in the seats and get the VIP generating money. The rest are secondary
I think logistically and professionally, it's quite a marvel really - the level of detail in terms of recycling of old material and limiting waste while generating a more green Camp Nou for a geek like me is something to really respect. It is on track to be the first structure in the world with dual sustainability certifications (LEED & BREEAM) which reflects world class ambition so I am certain Camp Nou will ultimately be distinguished with many awards upon completion. That adds brand value for investors you can't buy or fake
And anyone who has had the pleasure of attending at previous Camp Nou will attest, the infrastructure of the stadium was ridiculously outdated for modern sports and entertainment venues. It will be remarkable, the difference - even some of the early progress made is night & day to previous. I can't wait to return
I think again, I am only concerned about the pricing plans and having to accept that atrocious double wall and recessed lateral side. I have listened to many commentators and players from opposing teams as well as former blaugrana ones - there is a consensus that the magical feel of the venue is not only intact in its barebone skeleton state but there is palpable excitement about its continued progress towards its much anticipated completion

Joking aside, I think the works are progressing quite well. For a new stadium on an empty plot, it takes about 2.5 to 3 years to build. If Camp Nou is finished at the end of 2027, that will be roughly 4.5 years. Considering there was also demolition involved and the fact that matches are being played at the stadium while it is under construction, and also considering how large the stadium is, that is more than a reasonable construction timeframe.
I never understood this new vs old. It's basically the same stadium upgraded. It's like renovating your home. It's still your home. It's not some project like in EPL where you abandon your home and buy a nice modern flat someplace else. Like Arsenal did with Emirates.

But from 1957 to up a few years ago was my preference. Love living in the past.
Yes, but there's nothing in the 1957 stadium that is not present in the new one. They even kept the traditional 3 rings. They just added a lot of VIP seats for extra revenue, and a roof for protection against rain. That's pretty much it.

Now, if Camp Nou looked like that at the end, no roof, same as that photo, that would be legen wait for it dary.
40% of the compression ring has been completed.
I watched some older footage, and considering that work on the compression ring has sped up, everything could be finished in about 3.5 - 4 months, given that they’re building at a pace of roughly 8 columns per month.

Limak wants to get some things done in the summer break. There are more workers visible in general, meaning most likely hired more people, the last 3 remaining diamond buildings at lateral are being constructed finally, the ceramic plates picked up a pace and the ring progresses well. The 3 months without football in the Camp Nou should allow to progress quite a bit.

How often does one need to repeat it, until people understand. Financing the Espai Barca has absolutely nothing to do with the general transfer budget, zero, nada. We would have the same budget, no matter if Limak demands more or less money, because we don't pay for the stadium from our budget, but from the future additional income the stadium will generate.
