Champions League 25/26

He scores way more than them and has more solo goals too. He also has better physical tools and injury record.

Mbappe scores a shitload of solo goals for a player with no "natural ability". Has done that since his Monaco days. You conveniently ignore them to set this narrative.
Mbappe's goalscoring was good only at beginning of the season. He scored very little in 2nd half of the season and almost got beat by Muriqi for pichichi.

He does have natural ability. But not more than Yamal or Dembele. They're better dribblers, better creators, better team players. Mbappe has better shooting than them and is faster. That's it.

When it comes to rating players you also don't just rate their technical abilities. You rate everything about them. Yamal and Dembele are team leaders. On the pitch and off the pitch. Mbappe is a cancer to every team he joins and has no leadership qualities.

They're already in the mix. It's all about luck and mentality at the right time. No signings will guarantee that.

The biggest signing is the manager.

Played like a Mourinho final with 11 behind the ball closing spaces inside of 30 yards. Despicable stuff to play after billions in investment- but yeah, tough to play against for anyone.

PSG are not the same level as last season though. They don't end the game without Dembele, Vitinha and Kvara if they have last seasons fitness.

Edit. That was meant to be quoting the post above yours but too lazy to go and edit it.

Regarding Barca, undoing has been the lack of depth. With a bit of cash to splash that looks like it will be less of an issue next year.

Yamal is a leader?

Dembele who got taken off at half time in a World Cup final because he was Argentina's best player is a leader?

Ability is debatable. Mbappe is unstoppable with space to run into, beats players and scores a lot more than the other 2. He also has a great final ball and gets a lot of assists. Like I said, he also has the freakish physical tools. Ability isn't just dribbling in tight spaces. Otherwise Hazard has top 5 ability of all time.

Arsenal could've won that if Arteta didn't go with the coward tactics from minute 6 onwards, made it waaay too obvious.

PSG were poor I thought, Vitinha looked off it.. not sure how he's MOTM over Neves but whatever. Ruiz was abysmal. Front 3 for PSG were also crap, Mosquera had Kvara in his pocket for large parts of the match.

Poor final but better than last years no-show Inter I guess.

At least it went to pens for some added drama. Arsenal had a golden chance here and blew it. But they're attackers are mid, they should make changes there.

[BBC Sport] Kylian Mbappe wins the golden boot for the highest amount of goals (15) in this season of the UEFA Champions League (2025/26).

@MonteCuler 15 goals is very impressive. Tempt W?

What’s up with French football fans, man? Why burn down cars and break windows in your own team’s city because they won a trophy?

The 71st season of the European Cup comes to an end with Paris Saint-Germain Football Club winning their 2nd consecutive title. Overall they deserved it and this season was alright at the end of the day. Although from a Barcelona perspective, we should've done better than a quarter final exit to Atletico, as Imo we had the potential to even reach the final, especially given our bracket. Too bad we self sabotaged ourselves for the 3rd year running in this competition. This shouldn't faze us and as Gavi said "Next year, we will try again. I am sure we will win it, if not next year then the year after that or after that."

Just watched the highlights, as expected PSG didnt look even half as dangerous as in last cl final. Still a deserved win as they were the best team this season. Think though without Neuer's mistakes Bayern could have won vs PSG. Without the red card Hansi's Barca vs the Rojiblancos would have kicked out Atletico & Arsenal. Vs PSG then 51/49 for PSG.
