Lost first leg at home 0-2.

Cubarsi will miss the game due to the red card. Rapha, Bernal and Christensen are injured. Frenkie rejoined the team training and should be ready.
 
I read they haven't lost at home in a Champions League knockout game since 1997. And they have faced far stronger sides over these years than this version of Barcelona. Peak Pep Bayern, MSN Barca, peak Klopp Liverpool, and some others.
 
It's going to be uphill especially with Pedri not 100%, no raphinha.

But we can do it.

I have already written this game out and probably for the best. we aren't ready for what could happen in the next round.
 
I have not, am banking on a win here with Camp Nou support, yes or yes. Espanyol haven't won even a point here in ages.
 
I don't think we pair well with teams who sit back. Inter, AM are two of that type of sides who will probably knock us out back to back. We actually did better vs German teams last season like Bayern and Dortmund who attacked us and left plenty of spaces at the back. But current Bayern changed a lot and are actually more pragmatic this season.

The bread and butter of sides like AM, Arsenal, is attacking in small numbers, without overcommiting many bodies forward and thus breaking their defensive structure. And the way we set up, we allow them this weapon to use at their discretion.

You don't need much to exploit our defense. A long ball, some pacy forwards, and the job is almost completed. The brainfarts in our backline plus our high line with slow defenders will take care of the rest.
 
Barca were not even playing all that well before the red and looked dodgy on break.

Mostly passing going nowhere until got to Yamal to try and ask him to take on a packed defence.
 
Being eliminated in the Champions League by these fuckers would truly be an utter embarrassment beyond words. 22 points below us in the table. Have a good feeling about Tuesday. Vamos Barca!
 
I think it's the first time since... well, long, that I just xanthine get hyped about a remontada. If we hadn't given 110% in the copa home game, we would be in a much better position.
 
Can't be so unlucky twice in a row. Barça is the overall better team. I believe in this team.
3-1 is my prediction with game going into OT.
 
Need to score first and rather quickly to set little bit of anxiety into them and to quiet their supporters. Because you just know that place will be loud next Tuesday and our young squad will definately be affected by it at first. Just need to hold onto the ball, not lose it and soon it will feel like just any other game.
 
Flick said it very well in his press conference: We don't need a miracle vs Atleti, we need our perfect performance.

He is absolutely right. Scoring 2 goals on Metropolitano is absolutely not a miracle. In normal conditions with no pressure these guys can probably do it in 5 minutes. We scored 4 in something like 20 minutes last season.

They just have to be very focused and patient. Keep pushing but don't forget to defend too.
 
The problem will always be them scoring not us. Have to limit them at most to one goal so we have a shot. Our defense will always be the issue

Yeah but it has been good in first leg and also the league game. Atletico really didn't create much

What I think could be a problem in this game is if ref allows Atleti to play too physical on our players. Atleti will just push and throw them around and won't get many yellows. In this case yellows reset after QF also so they don't have to care about suspensions. Now Simeone rested them all in the league game so they will be full of energy to achieve this

They might also mess with the pitch considering who they are. There is a milion dirty things Atleti will do in their style. But still think it won't be enough if Flick Barça in full force comes on Metropolitano on Tuesday and starts playing football
