CL Quarter Final 2nd leg: Atletico - Barca 1-2

any news about who's gonna be the referee yet? Feels like that will play a major part in everything, if Atletico get booked rightfully or not for all the dirty fouls.

Treat it like the final that it is. For all the marbles.

Whoever we get in a potential semis and final we'll have to score two at a minimum anyway (per leg in the case of semis).

One final at a time. Play like men possessed with singular focus and concentration (no costly mistakes). Summon the spirit of Flick 8-2 Bayern.

And before you know it, we'll have won all the finals we are still in. And we all know what that means.

European double.

Yeah but it has been good in first leg and also the league game. Atletico really didn't create much

What I think could be a problem in this game is if ref allows Atleti to play too physical on our players. Atleti will just push and throw them around and won't get many yellows. In this case yellows reset after QF also so they don't have to care about suspensions. Now Simeone rested them all in the league game so they will be full of energy to achieve this

They might also mess with the pitch considering who they are. There is a milion dirty things Atleti will do in their style. But still think it won't be enough if Flick Barça in full force comes on Metropolitano on Tuesday and starts playing football
This will be the main issue. Ref will surely let them butcher us for a half before the first yellow. we should be butchering back and see who ends up with 10 players.

VAR will be much more important than the actual referee in my opinion, as we've seen in the first leg or other games. Like it is used right now, VAR decides games more often than the main ref.

They will give it their all but I think we'll fall just short, 2-1 win or something. If we had a 100% fit Frenkie, Pedri and Raphinha I would be very confident of the remontada even if they set us back by scoring again.

Both are in poor form but I would actually start Tuna for this game and bring Lewa on later if needed. We need to go all out from minute 1 and get an early goal and without Raphinha it's hard enough but Lewa doesn't have the legs for this, we can't be playing with 10 men.

Correct. Just a simple case of correlation without causation stirring up anxiety amongst some Barca fans.

Personally, to overcome a two goal deficit is a bridge too far given the CL context. I anticipate a spirited hard earned victory but not enough to qualify to the next rd (à la CDR).

Im more hopeful. Bodø glimt beat Athletico away 1-2. If they can do, Barca can as well
