Deco

As I have been saying.

Unserious, unambitious fanbase. Who are happy that we are mediocre in UCL.

The only summer we can spend in 5 years, 2023-2027. A summer where going in, we knew the shortcomings we have.

But the fanbase will do gymnastics to justify why we didnt address them.

Nope, you are just dramaticising and overreacting which is common. Nobody is happy that we are mediocre in UCL.

  How does first post contradict the other

We do have problems in backline and not bringing a LCB was a mistake. But we absolutely have a chance in CL. Every top team has some weaknesses
You are omitting that PSG literally have 2 Best Fullbacks in the world, and Pacho is one of the best CBs in the world.

We literally have only 1 with Cuba. Our Fullbacks and our LCB are a joke and a liability.

Not really. Eric on RB is not world class but he can stand his ground in big games and already did several times.

Now, LCB and LB are a real problem. There is no discussion. It just doesn't eliminate us from any competition immediately, when we have world class midfield and attack.

There is a lot to hope for in this season. This squad is all things considered best we had yet under Flick and Flick already almost led us to CL finals.

Because I am ambitious. A club of our stature should have gotten one.

Why shouldn't I be mad? When everyone and their mother knows that LCB & fullbacks were the pain points for us for two seasons under Flick.
I can excuse the other windows since we were constrained because of FFP.

But this window is the only one we are getting without any constraints for the next 2 years, and let alone addressing it, we have fewer players playing CB than in 2025 season.

I want our Fanbase to be mad. But alas, we will remain mediocre because we lack ambition.

We will be mad when results show that the club was wrong.

Like I said I think Martin is a huge weakness and at some point will cost us big in CL games. But club decided to trust him. It's okay, let's see. Maybe it works somehow.

But if he does fuck up, it is completely club's fault. And not just Deco's fault. Flick rejected Romero's signing when club asked him if they should go for it. So, the priorities have been made rather clear in the club.

They also have a month to redeem themselves in January and sign a defender for key stages of CL.

What will being mad solve? Do you want Deco gone? Who will you bring who is better? It's not an easy job. People set their own priorities and then blame you for not satisfying them. As if they are the club's sporting directors.

Sporting directors have always been subjects of hate in every club not just Barça. Mostly because people decide for themselves who the club should sign.

People aren't asking for specific signings. I am asking for defensive reinforcements.
Asking for a better player than Martin is too much to ask????

Is that how far our fanbase's ambition has fallen??

Well I remember last summer when there was a social media campaign for Joan, and kinda against Deco because he said we have enough GK. What happened then???
I can guarantee you, that without that Garcia wont be playing for us.

How can you guarantee that? I don't for one second believe Deco or anyone at the club gives a shit about what people on social media say.

And I also don't believe he was being honest when he said we don't need GKs. It is clear he wants to make all the transfers very discrete, it's part of his strategy. Or maybe the club just changed their mind, and I doubt that was in any way affected by social media.

I dont care anything about that.

Going in we needed LCB & RB. We got none. And our CB got shipped out.
Last two years we have lost Inigo & Araujo without any addition of CB.

I want to see head on a pike when we eventually crash out of UCL. But I am not stupid enough to wait till that, while everyone does.

Been following Barca for a long time to see the same script year in, year out, to eventually get humiliated in UCL. Atleast the good thing with Flick is our exits hasnt been a humiliation ritual as with other managers before.

Joking aside it was a good transfer window, it’s been a long time since i looked at our bench and saw some depth.

If I were looking only at the incoming transfers, I’d give it a 7.5/10. But considering quite a few good moves in terms of outgoing transfers as well, I’m leaning more towards an 8/10. Of course, I’ve taken into account the club’s situation and the fact that we’re pretty limited financially.

4/10. There's nothing special about signing a Rodri that was begging to come to Barcelona. That is called a transfer OPEN GOAL.

Nor paying 80m for a goal shy winger.

Adeyimi for 25m is the best value he got.

He had 3 jobs, Striker, Centre back and Right Back.

He failed at all 3.

If that is him cooking, then I don't want to be tasting any of his meals when he is not. 🤢

Can't sell Stegen, Araujo, Casado. Sold a World Cup winner.

"Negotiated" for weeks for Rodri. Only to pay what they asked in the first place. Got 2 flops in attack and one solid guy from Newcastle for a price that was a bit over the market value at the time.

Imagine it's really hard to convince players to come to Barca too.
