Started of strong giving hopes that we'll also have a striker and a decent CB but ended in a disasterclass .
Maybe he's hoping for reinforcements in the defense area in the winter market.
All in all a 5.5 / 10 for me.
Was REALLY let down by the defense reinforcements.

So we reportedly have a 60m salary cap margin right now that we can register for.
We either need to use it in January or request La Liga to roll over 45m of them for next season to offset some of the revenue loss projected when we play at Montjuic in the first half of next season. We can only roll over 75%.
And the club need to inform La Liga to request it be transferred to next season before the end of this year, if they decide to go for that.

I have been a critic of him in past but he has grown in his role and I particularly appreciate the discrete yet effective way they conducted business in the market - leaks only came towards end of negotiations becoming final. At Barça, that is some feat in it of itself - they have a lid on their leaks
Better still, every target club have made they have closed on with two unique exceptions - Nico which is fortunately due to Tebas while Julian is more an Incomplete/pending signing than a failed one. Moreover, their signings all show great value already - every single one. Even with great scouting that's a rarity as well
We're clicking on all levels for the club which should be a source of great satisfaction for cules

So far every single signing is doing what we asked of them. Even Jesus scored on CL debut and creates danger with headers.
Now it also becomes evident why he was so obssesed with getting a LW (Nico, Diaz then Gordon) all this time over some other positions. Even before PSG created the super fluid attack, they had this idea with Nico.
I think the only mistake Deco could have made this window is not signing a CB. But if they sign someone in January that's fine with me, because we need the CB for big games either way. Can hold on until January with Martin for sure.

We have such a strong and young squad that gets better and better with experience and only need like 3 world-class transfers (ST, CB and RB) to be unstoppable. If the finances allow us to finish building the team next summer, then we could start another international domination period.

Missing Cucurella could prove bigger than just missing a good LB. Cucu/Balde at LB and Cancelo/Espart at RB would give us quality, balance and real competition, while also helping cover some of our CBs’ mistakes. Balde and Koundé would still have time to prove they deserve their place.

He is smart defensively but he is slow. Would get exposed a lot in this system
And in attack he is maybe even worse than Balde
Also, last but not least... Cucurella is a fucking asshole. Look at the way he behaves in RM. He truly belongs there. Keep those retards away from the club

Bringing Cancelo back from Arabia when everybody thought he's finished and he drops these absolute bangers. Choosing to trust Espart instead of bringing some no name bums.
One of best sporting directors Barça have had and he has a serious case for the best. If he brings that LCB he probably settles it.
