Juventus forward freezes contract talks – willing to take reduced role at Barcelona

Seems to be twerking for us. Says he is willing to reduce his salary and take a backup role.

And you know how we move for players who twerk for us. If this rumour is true, then it's pretty much 50% chance that Vlahovic plays for us.

Now, if you want me to cook, hear me out.
Lewa leaves, massive salary space. We sell Ferran for around his MarketValue, so 50m.
Use that money to get Joao Pedro. He will cost around 75m.
Get Vlahovic for free.

Instant upgrade in this position over what we have this season. Without spending much on salary and fees. Massive FFP saving.
We will then have plenty of money left to go for a LCB, a LW, and a Fullback.

This will be a smart move from us, atleast according to me.

He missed half of the season due to injuries. We need to stay away from these players, we have enough injuries on our own already.

Saw he's the highest paid player in Italy. Even if he didn't suck, wouldn't make much sense for us.

Dont think he is nearly as bad as made out and would score for Barca.

If he is willing to be back up would take him if there is a real lack of options that can be afforded.

All attackers cook under flick ball. He's free and if the wage is reasonable. I don't see why not.

If we have limited resources getting a LW and CB are the number one priorities. In that order, striker comes 3rd/4th.

If he is free, no reason why he and Ferran canont cook together.
Who ever performs plays.

Also hes class.

Reports say he's willing to lower his salary/take a secondary role.

If we aren't going to make a big signing at striker, I would take him and let him and Ferran compete for the spot.

I think his value would definitely increase over his time here and if we wanted to we'd be able to get a decent fee for him by the end.

But what reduction in salary are we talking about? Is he willing to go back to 12 or 13 M gross where he was before the recent increase? Of course it's a reduction; on current wages, he'd be the highest paid player in the squad with bonuses included.

Stay away...

If we want a tall physical 'old-school' no9 with good finishes, that can only be a 3rd option behind the new striker and Ferran
Similar to Luuk in the past

In that case, someone like Muriqi could do it. Much cheaper, won't complain he plays little

Valhović is not even a good tall physical 9. He is tall, but that doesn't translate.

If the ambition truly is CL while Hansi is here, then we'll need a better striker than Vlahovic. He won't raise our ceiling or provide the needed moments of brilliance in KO games. Waste of time and cap space.
