Hamza Abdelkarim

They won that game 9-0 so opposition must have been absolutely shocking. But I've liked what I've seen so far from him and Pacifico and both earned the chance of another season.

Shame about the injury to the latter as that's going to set him back immensely.

He can't be just 182 cm as listed on TM? He seems like the biggest potential of all the injured kids we brought in the winter, will he stay?

Wikipedia says 1.85 which sound closer to the truth.
TM are terrible with height listing. They got better but still awful source

Did decent against Tenerife, there's something there worth to explore further...

Some chatter that he will be in the World Cup squad.
Unlikely to play, and he really didn't earn it, but it is something to boost his experience and his development.

There is no need for them to include him in squad if no intention to play him.

It is common that countries will take young players on the up to help with training and give them experience of a intl tournament without naming them in the squad.

It is 26 man squad that has no player born after 2001 and a very defensive side and another bum CF who will unlikely get minutes anyway.
The idea that is said in the media, it is better to help Hamza, getting him in tournament squad to train daily with the likes of Salah and Marmoush for few weeks, over getting 28 years old Salah Mohsen who won't get minutes either.

It is kind of seen as a dead spot anyway, so better use it for player development.

That makes sense. It would only be bad if there was an Egyptian CF who would suffer injustice of not being called up. But if that 28 year old guy is so shit then better call Hamza.

They wouldnt need to do that to take him to train.

No need to waste a spot on that if not earned.
