José Mourinho

How long will Mourinho last as RM coach?

The current situation at Madrid is the one he thrives in - this us against the world mentality. He might sneak in a trophy this season, but beyond that I'd expect a total meltdown in his second season(if he isn't sacked by then).

Real Madrid went on to dominate football for the following decade, with the team Mourinho mostly built.

The trolls on this forum are really boring, unfunny and low IQ. At least put in some effort so we can be entertained, if nothing else.

Mourinho's team was Khedira-Özil-Alonso midfield. He used Modric as a #10 sub for Özil where he sucked and was voted "worst signing of the season" by their fans.

The team that went on to win several CLs was Casemiro-Kroos-Modric.

At some point he also benched Benzema for Adebayor.

I think Mou will do well for them.

They are going to improve their defence and get in a lot more height/power to their team which has come back around as being important again.

He has been a bit redundant for last decade but can see him doing well with way football has moved the past couple years.

Clearly need to fix their midfield and front line a bit also but they have huge scope for that with players they could move on and raise funds if needed.

He'll surely improve the shitshow from last season and there will be new motivation in the squad with a coach like him. I think however that this will all fizzle out as soon as the first negatives hit the squad.

They will improve defensively but overall impress no one much less win titles - the only things Mou & RM win are when they game the system via the backdoor. On the pitch, they remain inferior to most of top teams in Europe

Mourinho likes physical midfielders and attackers who can create something out of nothing. He loves fast counter attackers like Son.

Madrid have the best of both so it could work.

Him going after X players of Pep make me think he is going to let them do the coaching while he'll have a vacation and enjoy his time at madrid

Guess he started to realize that he is just a enthusiastic translator and not an actual coach
