Would you sign Alvarez?

Noooooo. You just know AM will take us to the cleaners for this transfer. I really think we are better off broke. 80 million on Gordon is questionable but 125 million plus on Alvarez is pure insanity.
How many goals has he scored at the World Cup? How many did he score last season?

I'd honestly much rather go for Osimhen - Alvarez will be an even worse fit than Greasman, ya'll wish we had Lewa back...
20 goals in all competitions 25/26 playing for the third best team in LL and reaching semifinals in CL + he's been absolut shit this WC - and they want 150m?

All world cup his problem was a lack of confidence imo. It didn't start well and then he couldn't turn it around. There is also a lot of stuff going around about his next club

Argentina can't go against England with just Messi (of course, assuming the GOAT is not in his best mode, then Messi can probably go on them by himself). It would be very good if Alvarez, Lautaro, Enzo these guys who play in top clubs turned up. And if Scaloni gave a chance to Paz, Simeone, Barco and others off the bench.

He is not a traditional striker but he can still be incredible here.

It would be ideal if we had a traditional striker who also had Julian's technical ability, intelligence and creativity. Someone like Kane. But expect Kane himself there is nobody like that on the market.

Again, Osimhen. But no club is after him which means we shouldn't be either.

In my opinion it only matters that we have a traditional number 9, a true target man, good at box movement and heading the ball, coming off the bench. I am not exactly sure who do we take for this role, but Espi seems like a really decent fit for me. He reminds of Esposito with his build and playstyle. Even his name is same, like mini-Esposito, Espi.

Didn't he arrive at the WC injured also?

He has no link up in this squad at all, i thought that is one of his main qualities

That's because he had Enzo, RDP, Macca, Paredes as his "providers". He and Messi need players like Almada, Lo Celso, Paz on the pitch with them.

Linkup wise Alvarez still doesn't get close to Zirks, but people only see pig running, pressing, off the ball "skills" as priorities.
