Then you have issue of he played up top in a two which wont get at Barca.

It is a world of difference being the pacey little man playing off a physical striker in a two compared to up top on own for Barca.
 
That is true, it's a different system and we'll see how he'll adapt. My point is that he isn't here just to be a RW backup like Roony, he'll play more as a striker and maybe even more as a LW if Rapha keeps breaking down or leaves. At one point he was regularly LW, I think he even played there against us but not sure.

If you add in when trnsfmrkt has him as a 'second striker' in last 3 seasons then that adds in a whopping 5 goals also.

There is the Flick factor but the risk is huge if see him as back up CF to anyone the main one goes down.

Gordon be CF ahead of him would think in any real meaningful minutes.

Who knows.. its good to even have discussion of pace options as not had that for years.

Could be, one of them will be the reserve striker or Flick will switch and decide depending on the game. I see Adeyemi as more suited for this role but it'll be interesting to see what Flick thinks.

Adeyemi will be a valuable addition either way if he stays professional.
 
Yeah should add a lot and getting these pacey/versatile players opens up a lot of options and should make it more difficult for opposition to focus so much on pressing midfield and doubling on Yamal.

I think you misjudge him slightly. He's not really little (1.80m), just a tad smaller than Ferran and as tall as Mbappe.

Most often referred to as 'big man/little man' with one taking physicality and other playing off them.

Has he in career played much as sole CF? It is world of a difference.

The second striker role is more or less the AM at Barca.

No idea how Salzburg played, I only remember him being a striker there, when Dortmund bought him and we were loosely linked with him. But my whole original point was that he's as much a 9 as Ferran, who as far as I recall solely was a right winger at Valencia and only was repositioned as a 9 by Pep.

Anyhow, as I said, time will tell what Flick has in store for him. My bet is that it'll be a little bit of column A and a little bit of column B.

Yeah, he's not going to look small in this Barça...and certainly won't look slow. As long as I have been a cule, I can't recall ever seeing as fast a player in the 1st team

Many of us have clammored for a speed demon weapon and we had various versions of scoring forwards with pace - Dembele, Saviola, Alexis, Carles Perez and perhaps Adama. But even among fullbacks no one comes close to Gordon & Karim - imagine them flanking Julian & Lamine? And they're pressing forwards?? :stv23:

If he can be a decent rotational option that's a massive success already. We need to see the whole context of this transfer window though. If it's just him and Gordon + some 2nd rate striker we are worse off than last year.

Nah man. Even a 2nd rate striker with these 2 will be a massive upgrade.
Just remember, Lewa was a second rate striker aswell. Kek
 
We have already upgraded our attack tbh. Even if we sign nobody and Ferran leaves, which 99℅ won't happen. I genuinely think we did. Gordon and Adeyemi are huge additions

Remember Olmo is now stopped with injuries and he can probably play a lot on f9
