La Liga 25/26

Thanks to likes of Pedri, Frenkie and the La Masia inherited.

Shame they have let two Balondor winners leave and struggled in Europe.

Has cost the club huge amounts of money and being in better place in FFP.

And not listening to your Dunce ass idea.

None of the players you listed would be here lol.

Okay Imma stop fucking with you now. It's a new forum, but when I speak about de Jong going forward don't get your panties in a twist.

Fake news...

I said selling those players would be better alternative than going with CVC it was that bad.

While you claimed CVC made sense when believed Barca would go with it.

Usual shite.

You think Gundo and Gavi are better deep than Pedri you numpty.

Go cry about the man child Casado and him being punted in summer.

While you think he is a top player and should be renewed.

The question now is do we go full rotation tomorrow knowing a lost doesn't matter or play a solid team.

I think flick will go for the win.

Tell the players two big push is needed to get them closer to their golds shouldn't be a hard sell.

Another league title and honestly how doesn't Barca get even stronger in the future?

Finances should start becoming easier. Hopefully we get a prime #9 to level us up in attack. Add a great CB and really next year should be a slam dunk.

Real Madrid also has hard decisions to make without solid solutions.

What are you going to do with Vini and Mbappe. Obviously you cannot sell Vini who is even close to his level on the market at the LW that is available? Mbappe is never leaving. Which means Mbappe is the 9. So, that has failed for 2 years running. Rodrygo has an ACL and kind of was mid for a couple of years. Mastantuono basically sucks. That front line is absolutely set in stone to suffer for years.

Bellingham isn't leaving. Valverde isn't leaving. So, now you have to run a 4231 or 433 without any RW threat. They could get Rodri (Doubtful) or go for another controller but that remains to be seen.

Rudiger is getting older. Carvajal is washed. Courtouis is injury prone and older every year. They are about to be absolutely cooked. They will probably try and make a run for Schlotterbeck or Konate and well good on them for that.

But their problem is much more pronounced in the structure of the team. You cannot win without a good forward line. They have a bunch of athletes and very little magic to them.

Maybe they get Jose Mourinho and revert to park and counter with those athletes. But they seem like they want to run and gun like Spain or Barca lately. That just cannot work.

In 2024 their new team was about to be: Mbappe Vini Bellingham Rodrygo Endrick and everyone considered the rest of the world chance-less. :D

Life comes at you fast. Shame they sneaked out the CL in 2024 in that down year.

It's true it did seem fearsome. But just like the 2000s Galacticos they just refuse to run for the team.

Hold your horses. In 2018, this entire forum (me included) thought they would stop winning CL's after Cristiano left. Look what happened.

Stars have to align for us too. Let's hope the team gets much needed reinforcements in the summer or else players like Yamal might look for greener pastures.

Beyond Barca fans wildest dreams to win 3 La Ligas, 2 Copas and Supercopas in 5 worst years for the club as institution.

And to think some were discussing battles for Europa or CL places back in 2021 or 2022.

Wild.

Well they were not the 5 overall worst years for the club, as the club endured the Franco regime. There were times where the president got murdered and the police threatened the players with death at halftime in the Bernabeu, if they don't lose, but in modern times, I agree. We are very lucky, that Madrid is too stupid to translate its financial advantage into sporting. Otherwise we'd have maybe a single Copa in the last years.

How have Madrid not translated their financial advantage into sporting? They won the CL+LL just two years ago ffs

Yes, but that was with some key players from their golden generation, Kroos, even Modric with important roles, Carvajal, Benzema ballon d'Or level in one of those two. This is a completely new era for them also.

Madrid did an exceptional job at winning the maximum amount of Champions League titles with the core they started to build in late 00s to mid 10s. They also completed the core with some quality signings, most notably Courtois and Vinicius. Florentino basically did what Bartomeu failed abysmally at, took a team and a great core of players to the maximum of what they could have achieved, and even surpassed it and clinched some CLs in typical Madrid fashion against superior sides.

They won 3 CL titles in those 6 years of Pep City and Klopp Liverpool domination (2018, 2022, 2024), at the peak of EPL, more than those two teams combined. Hell, it's Madrid 3, EPL 3 (Liverpool 2019, Chelsea 2021, City 2023).

Now it's tougher, Bayern rebuilt well, PSG built quite a formidable side... Arsenal look strong also.

Real won that last CL without Kroos and Modric dominating in midfield or even close.

They were pretty much out played in middle of park and didnt really dominate games even in final v Dortmund or the previous one v Liverpool.

Benzema was gone by 2nd one.

That was more a decent team riding their luck in that last CL win.

Even the previous one v Liverpool they were absolutely dominate for that final and Courtois with one of the best ever CL final performances and Liverpool missing chances as did every team they met.

Those CL games were not a top Real team winning by design and dominating. It was large periods of being out played. Opponent errors at worst times and late comebacks/wins against the tide for most part.

They all count the same but that was not a top Real side dominating really.

With their financial advantage Everyone thought they would ram it home against us given our financial situation.

Even in this very forum the vast majority and by that I meant well over 90% thought the same and said we should just accept losing for a while and reset.

They most certainly have not taken advantage of our disadvantages off the field, the double not withstanding.

Which was another jammy CL, but they still had their core.

Kroos played in their last CL win. Kroos and/or Modric weren't actually the dominating type. They didn't even dominate AM in 2016 final and lost possession vs them. But their quality in midfield showed and mattered a lot. You certainly can't compare Modric or Kroos with Camavinga, or Arda Guler, or whatever they have in the CM-AM position. Different class.
