70M net spend, remarkable transfer window despite not landing any of the 3 main priorities going into the window of Striker, LCB & RB

Curious what the strategy will be in January since its fairly established next summer will be difficult to acquire any big signings due to returning to Montjuic & consequent loss of 1:1 FFP

If the strategy is to get Alvarez in January,
then it is weird they went out of there way to register 25 players in our squad, and give no9 to Jesus instead of 19.

We can't deregister players, that's a fact.

So, who are we sure will be sold/loaned if we sign Alvarez or anyone else.

Farinas is expendable.

I only see 23 players + missing Jesus. If Roony will be back and registered ( which I doubt by January), then the club will try to sell or loan him out immediately and as emergency, we can always loan out either Farinas or Livakovic.

GKs - good that club figured out Tek is a mascot(the fuck did we even extend him?) an brought in Livakovic
FBs - still poor with some reconverted CBs + kids + a washed up bum
CBs - worst out of the big teams, enough said
MFs - stacked
WF - good, but Bisiwu is a non-factor and Adeyemi has to prove he's more than a Dortmund reject
ST - poor, Raphinha is not a striker and I think this might show in some matches. Jesus and Hamza are there to make up numbers

All in all the Rodri transfer is doing some heavy lifting to call this a a good-great transfer window.

Elevator teams between La Liga and Segunda don't mind it, FFP suits them well. More money, free agents and academy players. In the end it works well for Spain NT.

But clubs like Sevilla are really fucked by FFP as they cannot expand their ambition beyond free agents, now they spend 90% of their income on player wages.

Suddenly multiple La Liga clubs and fanbases are crying about the Salary Cap/FFP
I said a few years ago that once we build the Camp Nou and put an end to our FFP problems, the rules would change and become less restrictive. We’ll see what happens.

Roony is registered. He has number 19.
As I said, once a player registered, he can't be deregistered until the end of his contract or being sold, even if loaned, he gets automatically registered. Even loan keeps him registered, we can just use him in cap space.

Our squad:
1: Joan García
2-Cancelo
3-Balde
4-Farinas
5-Cubarsi
6-Gavi
7-Fermin
8-Pedri
9-Jesus
10-Lamine
11-Raphinha
12-Espert
13-Tek
14-Adeyemi
15-Christensen
16-Rodri
17-Gordon
18-Martin
19-Roony
20-Olmo
21-Frenkie
22-Bernal
23-Kounde
24-Eric
25-Liva

It is 25 player squad. Not a single available number.

They always cry but in the end they still vote for Tebas. Same as Laporta, we shouldn't laugh at them because we are the same or worse.

Long term FFP won't matter that much for Barca, we'll forget about it in a couple of years while it will always restrict the small teams. But that's what they vote for.

Laporta is a politician, and maybe it’s actually a good thing that he’s like that. I’d tell Tebas to fuck right off, but that probably wouldn’t do us any good. Instead, Laporta has improved relations so they don’t make our lives even more difficult and might actually do us a "favor" from time to time.

It would be shitty to take Roony's number just because of the injury (it was even shittier with Casado) and the #4 was the only one left. Someone would have to leave if we buy anyone in winter, probably Farinas or Balde.

We have the youngest team again in LaLiga and it wouldn't surprise me, if in all top European leagues as well.

It's 25.2 according to Transfermarkt and going by that there are plenty younger in top 5 leagues. We are not in top 10 at least.

Youngest is Strasbourg with 21.6.

Okay, 21 sounds ridiculous. I underestimated the french assembly line industry for talents. But we know it's not to build a team, but to give as many talents as possible playing time to sell them.

Otherwise this table is from MD. Maybe they meant the last starting lineup? Too lazy to check. They differ from TM in any case. While TM lists Levante as the youngest squad with 24,4, they appear here with 25,8.

Hmm, I think Transfermarkt is showing age over the season, not today's age. I guess it's easier to compare the clubs that way.

Edit: it's actually the age + current months of their age. Joan Garcia for example is counted as 25.2, Livakovic 31.5 and Tek 36.6 => 31.1 and not 30.7 if it had been 25, 31 & 36. So that's why TM is a bit higher
