Luis Enrique

I took Lucho spending more time there than at Barca personally.

Much harder to accept than Pep’s City tenure.

Lucho spend 3 years at Barca B, 3 years with first team, and he only left the club for 4 years between retiring and coaching us. 3 between his two coaching stints. And he never closed the door for a return. All while being a Girona product and ex-Madritista.

Pep, ex La masia product, has said he regretted his 4th year as a first team coach here and closed the door on return, and then went to stay a decade in Manchester City.

Nah, Pep City tenure is unmatched in terms of being hard to swallow.

It is because you know and everyone knows that Enrique slightly underachieved with Barcelona. Out of the 3 seasons he managed, he should've won 2 UCLs, back 2 back. He should've won it back 2 back with us first and not with PSG, his 2015-16 side was better than his 2014-15 side but due to the fatigue gained by MSN via accumulation of games over the past 18 months, we had a very horrendous run of form in April and we went from a potential 2nd consecutive treble to nearly going trophyless by winning once in a 5 game period alongside 4 losses which resulted in our elimination from the UCL.

When did he say this?

Do you think Iraola is the man for the Liverpool job?

Managerial talent seems there, but do you think he has the personality to manage the pressures of a big club?
No way to know that tbh. Time will tell.

His style of play and philosophy definitely suits a big club but there's a lot more qualities needed to succeed at the elite level.

Last year's PSG hell no would be a close game.

This year's team hasn't been as good but that's typically
Didn't this year's team have a harder run to win the CL? Even in the final, they didn't face clowns like Inter.
If they would have smashed Arsenal 3-0 everyone would be saying how much better this year's side is.

Nah everyone who's been watching them has been saying they aren't as good as last year.

Much like those who know ball was waxing lyrical about them before the finals last year.

The final hype from last year was from those who weren't watching much PSG or didn't want to believe what they were seeing. ( A lot of those were on this forum).

Even if they beat arsenal 5-0. Still not as good as they were last year. Not about who you beat it's about how you play.

Just watch a few games and not the highlights or stat recap.

So basically you're basing your argument on hype or hearsay.
They dispatched Chelsea and Liverpool easy this year. They didn't face Brest in KOs and they actually faced their toughest challenge over the past two seasons in Bayern.
Probably the most visible downgrade was at GK, where Donnarumma pulled off some heroics last season. But this season they won it with a clown in goal, which is more impressive.
Level of play was as impressive from an attacking perspective - nobody plays better football right now.
Of course it's also about what opposition you face. Arsenal would have probably been out in the semis have they gotten Bayern instead of Atletico.

Pool was absolutely crap this season tbf, last season they were much better. PSG was a lot worse in defence than last year, Bayern had tons of chances but couldnt convert them while PSG was mostly icecold. Hansi's Barca vs this season PSG would have been an epic battle.

I wonder if key players will stay at Paris, i mean you play only for CL there.

At least Pep went where there is competition to challenge himself. Lucho went to beat some Fiats and some Ford Kas in Farmland, with the latest Ferrari model and wow... he's an amazing driver.

PSG is worst of the worst.

The most difficult part of winning the CL is dealing with the challenge after a hard season. When your season starts in March it is playing a different game to others.

I don't see how Lucho is more Noble than Pep. Quite the opposite. If you want to prove yourself post Barcelona you don't go in the French league at PSG.

tbf, PSG had Ancelotti, Tuchel, Pochettino and Unai Emery and none of them were able to win the CL while LE did it two times in a row, you deserve respect for these insane performances

Luis Enrique would be a disaster with that Amigo side Pochettino had full of stars who thought of themselves as hot shots.

He manages an elite side, with insane advantages over the competition. And he's a top manager. But, seriously, the credit stops there.

Btw, do you want to know how many assists Kvaratshkelia has in Ligue 1 this season? He has 4 .

They even can't be arsed in the league phase of CL. Virtually a team that plays 5-6 games per year, everything else is conditioning for that phase.

Lucho went to the ultimate challenge which is the NT. Pep went to the treble winners.
Lucho negotiated with Chelsea and Napoli, both offered him zero control and he rejected them. It wasn't the easy way, he negotiated with goid faith with several clubs and simply accepted the best offer and made history there.
And I am not even sure how this is related to Barca. He can go to Qatar, EPL or Brazilian Serie A, that's up to him.
