Luis Suárez

Suarez consistently flopped against the big PL teams for Liverpool and statpadded against the likes of Norwich. IIRC 40% of his goals that season came against the bottom 5 teams. Some clowns here think they can fool a Liverpool fan about Suarez's Liverpool stint.

Lewandowski has more goals against PL's big 6 teams than Suarez without even playing in the league.

Suarez won nothing for us. At the same time, Lewandowski won multiple things for Dortmund and carried them to a CL final with an all timer performance against Real Madrid.

Prime Lewandowski won a sextuple winning player of the tournament and topscorer in every single competition. As the main man. Suarez can only dream of doing that.

Suarez also brought the club into disrepute because of racism and biting opponents.

he was only at Liverpool for 3 years and qualified for CL in one season
Pretty dull statement on a player who was voted player of the season in EPL and kept tragic Liverpool squad afloat, until the club captain slipped. Then Mourinho had a troll victory lap.

A washed Stevie G scored more clutch goals against big teams that season than peak Suarez did.

He was amazing for Liverpool in regular games but couldn't impact big games like Salah, Mane or even Torres did. Unfortunately they don't get any of the hype.

"Liverpool fan" hating on Suarez, yeah mate.

Suarez is the reason I watched almost every game in his insane season prior to joining Barca - before the rumors of him coming even existed. He was THAT special. You never knew what would happen, but he was straight up chaos and unbeatable in the final third of the pitch - made Sturridge look like an elite striker and boosted Gerrards stats as the PK-taker, if he had added PK's to his goal tally I think the record as highest scorer in a season would have stood till this day. Insane level in arguably (one of) the strongest leagues in the world.

Indeed. Disappeared in big games and brought the club into disrepute. Not gonna be one of those fans who defends bad behaviour.

In that 31 goal season for us, Suarez absolutely battered the bottom sides in the division. He scored 5 against Norwich, 5 against Cardiff, 2 against Fulham (all relegated), 3 against West Brom, 2 against Sunderland and 1 against Hull.

18 of his 31 goals we against sides who failed to reach 40 points.

Obviously goals are still goals and it's still an astonishingly good season, but it is worth putting those numbers into context when it comes to his actual contributions for the club.

Salah, Mane, Firmino and Torres all did way more against big teams.

Big Liverpool fan indeed which is why I know the context behind things unlike casuals who jerk off to some Norwich highlights.

I didn't even defend Mo (one of our best players ever) when he publicly disrespected and undermined the office of the Liverpool manager. What makes you guys think I'll blindly support a racist cannibal who didn't even win anything for us?

Did I enjoy watching Suarez play? Hell yeah. Was Suarez a great player for us? Ofcourse he was but he doesn't mean much in our massive history, brought the club into disrepute multiple times and had 2 good seasons (missed loads of big chances in his first season) for Liverpool.

Winning the League Cup against Cardiff means nothing at a club of this stature. Would take Lewandowski at Liverpool anyday. He actually carries all his teams to major trophies, performs against big teams in big competitions and is a much better person.

It isn't just stats lmao. He was consistently pretty bad against big teams even in terms of overall performances. Think he had 1 good performance against United and Chelsea in his entire Liverpool career.

He did always press well though. I'll give him that.

You aren't gonna gaslight a Liverpool fan about Suarez at Liverpool.

Suarez wasn't just about goals in that season; he created 87 chances in the league that Season in 33 games, with 12 assists and 31 goals (with no penalties).

Only Hazard created more chances than him (and that's by 5 - 92), so his contributions to Liverpool that season were not just in goals. He was pushing the attack by scoring or creating chances (Lewa has never created up to 60 chances in a season before)

Now, for big games, I don't recall him hiding, so I went to check some extended highlights. So far, I've watched Liverpool against Chelsea (Suarez created the most chances in that game - 2- and there was none for him; it was Gerard's slip that gifted Chelsea that win;

Then I saw the first leg against City on Boxing day, Suarez created the most chance from Liverpool, infact Coutinho goal is literally Suarez creating a chance for Sterling, sterling dribbles the keeper and Coutinho quickly scores it, else that Sterling would've and that would be another Suarez assist, next City is leading by 2-0 and Suarez all by himself again creates a one on post for Sterling and he skies it. You can't watch this game and say Suarez did nothing as a Liverpool fan

Then we have Man City 2nd leg; Suarez also created the most chances in that game and assisted Sterling - I didn't see Suarez get chances to score in that game too

By stats, this is Suarez against the teams that finished in top 10 (16 g/a in 15 games); and for top 6 it is (10 games and 10 g/a) but for the top 4 he's got 2 g/a in 6 games and I've seen 3 of those games so far, and he was the one creating the most chances for Liverpool in those games. So your point about him not contributing in the main games isn't really valid.

This isn't true, from the 3 I've seen so far in the 2013 season.

Fucking larper. Spineless and no integrity.

Way more spine than cluelessly twerking for racist cannibals
It's an adhominem, we are talking about Suarez as a player. You for sure like twerking for CR7 despite him being a tax evader, rapist, narcissist, etc. - because you like the player.

There is no "spine" in larping as a Liverpool fan on a Barcaforum and spending your time to troll here. It's a sad existence mate.

Suarez as a player won nothing for us and disappointed in the big games unlike our actual club legends who have won the biggest things for us turning up when it mattered the most.

CR7 was accused not proven to be guilty. Suarez is a proven, repeat offender. Tax evader? You really want to go down that road?

Couldn't care less if you think I'm a fake fan.

CR7 paid the woman $375,000 in exchange for an NDA and an agreement to drop all civil/criminal claims. This is way more serious than Suarez being an unhinged loony and biting people

and Suarez being accused of racism... when all he did was use the Spanish word for black. Yeah.

You are not a Liverpool fan mate. Stop pretending.

Because it was destroying his reputation. He had everything to lose. People like you will judge him even if the charges aren't proven. We all know how the media and public opinion works. The truth is none of us know what really happened.

Guess the Evra handshake incident was AI too.

Or was that a Spanish ritual?

Ok buddy 👍🏻

Evra handshake incident was the consequence of Evra's accusations and defamation campaign after Suarez used the word "negro". There were 4 months of campaigning and media noise inbetween. Don't act daft. Unless you were too young to follow the events at that time and learned this retrospectively.

Evra is a piece of shit too by the way. If you know you know.

You are disingenuous as shit.
