Manchester City

I believe it, when I see it.
First a serious punishment needs to be given to them and second, the appeal needs to confirm it. Until then, a lot of water will still flow down the Nile and a lot of money will be offered to many people.

The biggest problem right now is the players' mindset.

How can they carry on knowing that all this might go to waste at the end of the current season or the ones to follow?

Unless they are mercenaries in every sense of the word i don't see how they can continue to contend for the title this year.

EPL really shot itself in the foot when it handed out a 6 point deduction (?) to Everton for 1 violation (if I'm not mistaken). Here we're talking about 114 violations spanning across more than one decade. So any punishment should be significantly more severe than anything Everton received. That's the expectation at least! Let's see how they get out of this one, for punish too severely and it hurts the EPL too.

What strikes me as dishonest and spiteful isn't targeting a club for financial wrongdoing (anyone will agree that all should follow the rules), but rather how the EPL is not investigating other top clubs with the same scrutiny. Or have Man U, Pool, Tot, and Arsenal had their financials analyzed and scrutinized over the last 10 + years too? In an identical manner? Makes one think, is this about right and wrong, or is it more about right and wrong only when Manchester City does it? Football's very own version of two-tier justice?

As if City was successful only because of money. Losers gonna lose.

One more thing. If the "independent" EPL appeal board finds that City isn't guilty of some of the more serious violations, it essentially calls into question the impartiality of the initial conclusion. Ie either they cooked the books or they didn't; question is how much interpretation was used to reach the initial verdict. Not a good look if they backtrack on the initial verdict. Point being, backtrack and it makes one think: how the hell did the initial board get its conclusion so terribly wrong. Not that impartiality is expected of an EPL appeal board consisting of diehard football fans, but u catch my drift.

I agree with Zlatan.

Stripping City of titles for only financial manipulations is weak. It's not like match-fixing and I don't believe City are the only offender in the EPL. Also it was UEFA who caught them cooking the books.

Wish something similar happened to QSG who spend even worse than City but there are probably no financial rules whatsoever in mcdonald league, or they were abandoned to please the sheiks club

That I believe is pro bono work.
More likely pro UAE work. They need good propaganda fast, as the football world is turning on them. So what's more important than having the biggest football influencer sharing your point of view. Especially since he didn't report anything about it before, but the Rodri interview, that is surprise surprise, pro City as well.
