The main problem with his sale is that the types of teams which will want him are teams that work on low budgets.

Most LaLiga clubs would probably inquire about him but wouldn't be willing to pay any sort of significant fee. Most of them don't spend more than 2-3 million for a player, very rarely, so whilst they'd be interested in him as an opportunity, probably only if he was a low cost signing.

And his market outside Spain might not be great. I can't see Premier League teams having serious interest in him (unless it's free or very cheap) and the same for Italy and France. That is, if we want to get even 15m for him, it might be difficult in any top5 league.

For some reason Saudi and the Gulf countries seem to have a lot of interest in ex Barca and La Masia players and a lot of our ex B team players have ended up going there so that would be the likely route to get any good fee. I think reaching 20m might be difficult at this point.

It would have been easier before but some of his weak points have been highlighted and the limited hype around him died down a lot.
 
The other problem is that if he stays he's going to play very little unless we have serious injuries. And his place in the squad could even be threatened by other B team players coming through. So if you turn down a 10m fee now, even if its that, you might not get it again.

I can see a scenario where he just sticks around permanently as emergency depth if no interesting offers are received, but the question is if his squad slot might be better used on a player we want to grow the value of or integrate.
 
I could see him going on loan to some mid table team in LL but I would just keep him if that's the most we can get, he's cheap, a true cule and won't make problems if on the bench. There is always an injury crisis in midfield every season, he'll come handy then.
 
Very good reported sale but going to Monaco again, I'm curious about the specifics. And whether they are as good as it seems.
 
We are not a selling club.

What we are decent at is selling mediocre players at around the 15-20m mark. And I am happy with it. If he worked out he would have been an asset of the bench, but even then he was the 3rd option.

That is already 50mil plus if we can sell Kounde for 60-70mil.

110-120mil with ease.
