Movies and TV shows

Joe Pesci just loves to be sadistic prick in mafia movies. On the other hand, he was the lovable comedy sidekick to Mel and Danny in Lethal Weapon and even had his own comedy movie, where he was some kind of inept lawyer, who won in the end. Weird actor.
All mafia movies of old have really brutal sadistic scenes. Wouldn't fly today.

I wonder why Malcom McDowel endured being typecasted into evil guy roles given he was an actually great actor and not really evil guy as person lol. Guess there are certain phenotypes of people, who simply are too good for these roles. Malcolm definitely nailed the psychopath young lad in Clocwork Orange and that role literally followed him throughout his acting career, because he absolutely nailed that char being great actor that he is.

In the end he made peace with this role and mostly typecasted in B movies for small time villains. Guess he just wanted the bag. There were some nice movies with him though, but couldn't remember on a whim. But definitely he decided to fuck the big move shit over after CO.

Rewatched Intouchables recently after a long time. The humor, the soundtrack, the actors. I can't remember laughing so much ever in a movie, basically nonstop. A Masterpiece 10/10. No chance something like this can be created in today's time.

Hmm I might be giving it a rewatch

One of my favourite movies.

Wouldn't dare watch The Upside. Anybody watched both?

Never

That's like Dinner with Schmucks as a chaser to the genius Le Dîner de cons

Even The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was ruined by Hollywood, the original tv miniseries was far superior

The remake for the girl with dragon tattoo was very good. And I had seen the original one before as well.

Cop Land (1997) clips pop out on my feed these days for unknown reason.

Never liked the film much, but the cast is probably the greatest ever on film. Critically low as every other Stallone film.

Finally watched the new Odyssey movie and I must say after a long time a movie where you can honestly say woow at the end.. Well done, great acting performance and overrall probably the best movie of 2026..

First Man
Didn't like the story telling here. We're talking about one of the greatest accomplishments in human history, and the Director somehow managed to turn the movie into a snooze-fest.

Also minor spoiler alert ‼️ , but at the very end of the movie, the Director made the decision to omit the part in which the astronauts plant the American flag on the moon. As if, showing American accomplishment (or that of any country) is a bad thing. I wish these Directors would just stop bringing politics into everything. Just make nice movies where they aren't trying to make their political bias or agenda known or influence others. 4.5/10.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
This one I really enjoyed. It was kind, genuine, and very well made. 7.5/10

Watching the new series Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. Quite incredible, actually, how Netflix once again has given itself the creative freedom to turn what should have been an interesting story into LGBTQ+ propaganda.

What I will say is that it's well made. Very well made. Ryan Murphy is very talented, but if historical accuracy matters, don't bother. It's quite possible that not a damn thing in this depiction is historically accurate.
