It becomes all the more shocking that so many people claimed France is way above the rest in WC, and it turns out they were probably the worst of that final 4 teams

Nonethless disappointing from Croatia. Gvardiol truly is absolute dogshit player. That midfield is too old and they have less and less elite attackers.

Vuskovic, Baturina, Sucic, Franjo and the rest are guys who should start every game and build new gen around them. Gvardiol should start but on LB, and there make the most of his abilities in attack else he's useless

But only Spain are better than them as a team and on paper. England beat France at the World Cup and really should have beaten them at the previous one, so I would say they’re currently on a par.

No one cares about an exhibition game and no one claimed that Croatia is the third or fourth best team in Europe.

They are a respectable national team, but their performance today is terrible.
They look like fucking Liechtenstein.

Yes, a WC 3rd place game that none of players wanted to participate is even less important than a nations league opening game.
 
England is definitely better than France. Whether France shows effort or not is their problem. First half of that game proved that France needs a lot of work.

France played without half of their starting lineup and brought them on in the second half to avoid a humiliation.

Only Mbappe cared about that shit game, because he wanted to win the golden boot.

Spain aside, France/England/Portugal players are on the same level right now.

We need to see how Zidane and JJ will handle their teams or if Tuchel will have another retardation moment in a crucial game like he had against Argentina.
 
Bulgaria lost away to Iceland 3-0 and I don't feel a thing that angers me. This is the logical outcome of decades of corruption and incompetence coming around. The football community is simply basking in the shadows of the 90's glory.

Maybe we are discussing completely different things here. If you are talking about squad depth and just overall player quality, yeah those 3 are close

But as a team, a collective unit.. Portugal is yet to build something and it would require shipping Ronaldo off. It would be step in the right direction if they maintained what they had vs Denmark but they want to bring Ronaldo back.

By the way France 'not caring' for the WC medal game speaks of their cohesiveness as a team. They are a bunch of spoiled brats who've been made to think they're best team ever by dumb media. You lost to a far superior team, okay. Go fight for what's left and then go and improve. It was also Deschamps last game for NT, it's a matter of respect. Those things speak A LOT of their mentality and level of effort.
