Nations League

Bulgaria lost away to Iceland 3-0 and I don't feel a thing that angers me. This is the logical outcome of decades of corruption and incompetence coming around. The football community is simply basking in the shadows of the 90's glory.
Didn't even bother to watch... I was at the game against Estonia and have never seen such clueless and deorganized display of football

A year ago I thought that it was impossible for our national team to look worse, but there you go... never say never...

It's mainly Lamine. Pedri played 2x 30 min, Rodri 30 min second game, Olmo didn't play the second game, Fermin the first game.
Yeah but it's strange he didn't rotate everyone when he went for it in defense already. Put the perico guy on striker too. This is a game where he can for sure afford it. Spain should maul Czechia with their 3rd team.

In our late great Dimitar Penev words: "Дъно винаги ще има.". To translate to general public "the bottom is bottomless". The guy was gold in wisdom and choice of words.

A few people challenged the corrupt system in Bulgarian football, but it always ended on the side of the establishment. Untouchable. The whole cycle ended with an uneducated former player and protege of the same system in Georgi Ivanov. We're now hiring Sylvinho, who was in charge of Albania for some years. Will this stabilize the team? I think not.

That's a class goal. A far better team than Czechia would also just have to watch that go in.

Let's hope Yamal just goes on like this because if he does this will be a crazy season for him.

I think Nations League will gain more and more prestige as time goes on.

It's an interesting concept. Only reason people don't like it is because it stops club football. But it's not a bad idea.

It's a good platform for judging int teams because it's all year round, unlike WC /Euros that are every 2 years

It would be wiser for South Americans if they created something similar rather than playing useless friendlies vs India, Australia and Benin.

The Eastern and Central Europe was much better with their National Teams when they had stronger base - domestic leagues. Today, every prospective talent is snatched by those oil money infused molochs to prematurely vanish into oblivion.
Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechs of course former Yugoslavian nations ... they don't have enough capital to let their talent flourish as in the pre 1990 era.
Free market here isn't doing here any favors.
Look at Turks...as soon as theit league gained traction their NT became top 10 competitive.
