Nations League

So, if it were up to me, I'd ban any international trade of players until they have reached the age of 32. Then only 2 internationals can play in a foreign club at any given moment.
That's the way it was in Serie A in early 80s.
Put me in charge of the Football World!
I will not delete this post.

The Eastern and Central Europe was much better with their National Teams when they had stronger base - domestic leagues. Today, every prospective talent is snatched by those oil money infused molochs to prematurely vanish into oblivion.
Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czechs of course former Yugoslavian nations ... they don't have enough capital to let their talent flourish as in the pre 1990 era.
Free market here isn't doing here any favors.
Look at Turks...as soon as theit league gained traction their NT became top 10 competitive.
Late 80's football had equal talents of development on both West/East. This balance is unthinkable 35-40 years later on.

1970s and 80s
Yugoslavia, Poland, DDR, Romania, Bulgaria, Czeczoslovakia, SovietUnion were just as capable as the rest of the Western Europe.
Both in the European Cups and Internationally.

Wtf happened to Croatia. They never embarrassed themselves like this.

They looked completely unmotivated throughout the game.

Perhaps they want to sack the coach, or maybe they were tired or bored, but they certainly made absolutely no effort.

They couldn't keep the ball for more than 10 seconds.

Czechs almost equalized and that wrestling before the Penalty Box was an ordinary physical struggle without impact of how the goal was scored... not a foul. Should've been 2:2.

Was a foul imo. Wasn't an ordinary physical duel. Correct decision even if it was frustrating for the Czech players.

Shame for England that Kane is old. With Bellingham, Gordon, and Kane, all playing attacking positions at the biggest clubs, they could have a hope of dethroning Spain, but soon they will need to replace Kane and it is just not possible for them.

They found a working trio up front too late.

Yeah, I think on balance and despite always believing Tuchel to be a nutter this iteration of England is firmly #2 behind Spain & ahead of France (irrespective of form Zizou will eventually get to with Les Bleus)

England's only chance to win a title in this era will be for Spain to suffer injuries or get knocked out in the draw. Head to head, La Roja is above everyone
