Premier League 25/26

That's the problem with relegation battles... scheduling influences so heavily you can be down or saved based on the priorities of your opponents.

Tottenham play Aston Villa who are rotating for Europe, and today they play Leeds who are already saved and therefore are already on holiday.

Last game West Ham played Arsenal in a title fight, before that playing Brentford who are fighting for Europe.

Carrick set to stay at UTD per reliable reports

This will come to bite them later.
Carrick, with what he has shown now and in the past, is not a manager to build on. He created a dangerous team in transitions but sterile and impotent against blocks. We have seen the script with Ole in the past

UTD set to stay mediocre for a few more years

Depends what you expect of this current United team. imo, cementing themselves as a stable top 4 team for a few seasons would be a success, will be interesting next season how they deal with cups + CL on top of PL though.

They did the hipster hell-bent-on-a-system manager twice now with ETH and Amorim which backfired. Carrick is respected and did well enough this season.

They won't cement themselves in top4.
Competition in England is fierce, and without the luxury of playing once per week, it is far more likely to see them again in 6th, 7th, 8th position next season.

ETH and Amorim are not the same and can't be put in the same sentence IMO, but that's another discussion.
Problem is they don't have strategic long-term planning, and this always comes to bite them, like at Chelsea and Spurs.

Currently, only City Arsenal Liverpool and Aston Villa do that. They stick with who they believe to be the best coach for them, they back him for years, and rip the benefits

Still, after we the shitshow they've had ending third is impressive... next season is a different beast, but I think they're to big of a force to miss a top 5 next season if they finally got their shit together.

Wasn't Ole results superior to both ETH and Amorim?
Carrick IMO is fairly good choice. Maresca is waiting for City, Alonso is waiting for Liverpool. There is no Klopp out there. Work with a coach that has done well and popular without the team and fanbase.

What a shit first half between Chelsea and Man City, but feel like Chelsea should have had a penalty there.

Not sure how barging into someone and changing your path is a fair challenge.

Copa final was much better than this on every single level.

Give every la Liga team 6-20 around 50m euros to spend and la Liga will easily take back it's place as the best league in world football.

What a goal by Semenyo

Reminiscient of the magical backheel by Del Piero in the 1997 CL final.

PS: Can't get around my head how the once best SD at Liverpool handed both Semenyo and Gehi to City
