Newcastle has been absolutely destroyed bit by bit. They wanted to fly too close to the sun.

Now it's back to the old toon army

That's what you get for investing in that City.

The original investors are looking to buy another club btw. Can't remember which. You know the woman who Vini saw the jaw of and said "I want that one".

Not with our starters but rather youths (I undersand RM has no concept of this philosophy) and not in regulation time but pks

Arsenal played most of their starters, it was hilarious
Nobody cares about preseason. It's about experimenting and getting fit. And Birmingham is a Championship team unlike the very decent Betis.

The last two years watching the EPL has been a real struggle. Poor quality. Hella pooring.

Massive reset for them over that period. Old coaches leaving and many star name players.

With the younger stars all distributed across Europe.

If la Liga wasn't so broke now would be a golden opportunity to reclaim the throne. But I read on here only 2 teams have spent more than 5m outside the big 3. Yikes.

EPL teams have won every trophy in last two years other than PSG x2 CL and in both those runs PSG went to pens v English champions.

Got to love how folk know and discuss platyers in md table EPL teams and dont have a clue about LA Liga mid table teams.. then claim it is all shite.

24/25 CL PSG
24/25 Europa - Spurs
24/25 Conference - Chelsea
24/25 Club World Cup - Chelsea.

25/26 CL - PSG
25/26 Europa - Aston Villa
25/26 Conference - Crystal Palace

Think EPL being doing ok overall and vastly better than La Liga and any other league overall with 4 different teams winning in Europe in past 2 years.

Barca and Real should be closing after this summer on the CL level and EPL teams cant see as being as strong there but across the board it is the best league by a mile and has best players worth watching throughout it.

Folk drool over mid table EPL players wanting them at Barca then claim league is shite.

Usual.

The problem is that all the action, razzmatazz, glamour and glitz of the La Liga is concentrated within the 2 giants. It has always been a duopoly.

Nobody is saying Real and Barca aren't good enough for the Prem. Real, Bayern, Barca are currently the 3 biggest clubs in the world. Nobody is denying that Real and Barca are box office.

The problem is nobody gives a fuck about most of the teams in La Liga. Even Atletico have a much smaller global fanbase than City and Spurs.

The Prem has numerous exciting teams outside the big 6 like Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford, Sunderland, etc which people care and know about. Look at the signings Chelsea and Tottenham are making when they're at their worst situation in over 20 years.

Having said that, the Prem has been poor compared to its high standards over the last couple of seasons. The league is in a bit of a transition right now after the Pep/Klopp era. The only big 6 club at its best currently is Arsenal. It's still the best league though.

Ignorance is bliss, is that the take home message? No one gives a toss about Betis because Barça are dominating yet no problem to mine for talent

Don't confuse money for success but I realize blancos don't know the difference

What happened to Newcastle, why are they selling all their best players. First Isak last summer, and now Gordon, Tonali and Bruno this summer. I thought they are richer than City and QSG.

PSR, our equivalent of FFP, which is saying something since they have far more latitude to fudge the numbers. But combined with lack of sporting success and erosion within management, club is in turmoil - a sinking ship
