Shiet what a performance man. He simply is a crazy footballer and one of the reasons I love world cups is because that's where these pure ballers really show their best. Who don't maybe have the discipline or commitment at club level. And this pace allows them more as well

People actually defend Gordon saying Flick will bring the best out of him. If that is true and Flick is in the same league of man managers like Klopp, Ancelotti and Pep, he would be able to bring the very best from a much much better footballer in Leao too. An elite coach’s job is to transform a previously inconsistent ‘baller’ to be a world beater and this guy has everything to be one. His defensive contribution or lack of can be easily ironed out when you layout the objective of the club is to win a CL every year while making him a ballon d’or level player. Its what a great man manager does. Look at what Vini does for Ancelloti.

Massive missed opportunity.
Leao is frustrating as hell, but my word, there are few better dribblers and ball carriers. Him coming off the bench against tired defenders would have been an absolute cheat code.
He looks like the type of player who needs a change of scenery and there is a chance that Barca and Flickball could have been the perfect scenario for Leao to find his best form again.
Either way, a loan without an obligation to buy would have been a stroke of genius from Deco, but that ship has sailed now since signing Gordon.

A few good games in World Cup and people forget everything. Suddenly he is the solution and Deco is dumb for not signing him.
He is a huge talent indeed but don't forget why he is coming off the bench. Because starting him in a big game is very dangerous. In our system where pressing is everything, how would this guy do?

Thoroughly unimpressed this game despite having an almost WC performance last game.
According to CHATGPT his best season is better than the same for Rashford, Luis Diaz or Kvicha when looking at G/A per 90 minutes played.
He also clears them in successful take-ons, ball-carrying and chances created (very close second is Kvicha who is the superior passer and better defensively).
Pretty surprised at how good his offensive output can be, maybe with discipline and a 'carrot'-approach (bigger club, more money, more exposure at Barca, bigger league and competing for big trophies) could see us getting the best out of him?
For a loan with an option to buy or even obligation to buy contingent on some standard performance-based numbers would be a no-brainer.

He's lazier than Rashford without a ball so doubt whatever his offensive output might be, Flick would tolerate such guy. Rashford at least imitates some kind of pressing, while this guy from what i've seen in Milan just stands around without a ball.
